The Pokémon Company has announced that two of its Pokémon Center locations in Japan will be closing and relocating this spring. Pokémon Center Hiroshima will close in late March and reopen in its new location sometime in April, while Pokémon Center Tohoku will close February 16th and reopen Spring 2025. Though the dates are vague, Pokémon Center Hiroshima’s new location is announced to be the second floor of Ekie, a shopping complex attached to the Hiroshima Station train depot; Pokémon Center Tohoku will relocate to the second floor of the Sendai Parco mall.

The Pokémon Company has announced a small and sweet little collection which will be coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan beginning January 18th, and to the Pokémon Center Online on January 17th. The drop contains only five new items, two of which are boxes of assorted chocolates. The star of the collection is the Pikachu plush holding a heart (¥2,200 ($13.94 USD)), which is designed with dots for eyes, similar to its appearance in the monpoké line of merchandise from the Pokémon Center.

The Pokémon Center online stores in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada have released the final Monthly Dragon Type Pin, featuring the three Tatsugiri forms (Curly, Stretchy and Droopy respectively). As usual for this line of pins, the United States and Canadian stores quickly ran out of stock shortly after release, however as of the time of writing the United Kingdom store still has stock. It is unknown if this line of goods will be restocked in the future, as this line was a celebration of the Chinese Year of the Dragon in 2024.
