Pokémon Masters EX is throwing down the gauntlet to trainers once more, with the Legendary Gauntlet returning until February 18th at 9:59pm (PST). Players finding themselves without the proper sync pairs to take on the Gauntlet will be able to take advantage of a new Scout launching alongside this event, featuring a variety of Sync Pairs suited to these particular challenges.

Official Pokémon social media has posted a short video of a Jigglypuff in an empty lounge, along with an announcement that a special video is scheduled to air during Super Bowl LX on February 8th. This is expected to tie into announcements this month as the series celebrates its 30th anniversary.

The Pokémon franchise’s upcoming 30th anniversary has anticipated lots of new merchandise, and The Pokémon Company International has launched their own collection, now available online at the Pokémon Center websites serving the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. The new drop includes apparel, home goods, and some TCG accessories with a simple 30th anniversary design; a silhouette of Pikachu with a 3 and a 0 as the cheeks.

The folks over at GameChops have released the latest album in their Poké Tape series, which spotlights individual artists and their unique perspectives on their favourite Pokémon music. Poké Tape 5 features the work of Blauu, whose style blends chill lofi, jazz influences, and acoustic instrumentation, with live keyboards and no use of AI whatsoever.

Palentine's in Pokémon Masters EX is once again bringing with it some returning seasonal content, with a re-run of last year's Tiny Courage, Big Thanks Story Event, together with Seasonal Scouts featuring past Palentine's Sync Pairs. Palentine's Day is just like Valentine's Day, only instead of celebrating romantic love, it's for celebrating your love for your friends and pals.

Pokémon GO's latest Catch Mastery event, featuring encounters with the Dancing Pokémon Oricorio, will be running this coming weekend on Saturday, February 7th between 10:00am and 8:00pm local time.

PokéPark KANTO officially opens at the Yomiuriland theme park located in Inagi, Tokyo this week on Thursday February 5th. Fans physically attending PokéPark KANTO will be able to access exclusive content in Pokémon GO during park hours from 10:00am to 6:00pm (JST) daily.

Flamigo, the Synchronize Pokémon, is making its Pokémon GO debut in the Carnival of Flamigo event, running this week from Tuesday, February 3rd, at 10:00am, through to Sunday, February 8th, at 8:00pm local time.

Pokémon TCG Pocket has launched the Fantastical Parade Emblem Event, giving players the opportunity to acquire emblems to set on their in-game player profiles. This event is set to run through to February 11th, at 9:59pm (PST) / February 12th, at 5:59am (UTC).

Continuing on from the recent launch of the Dressed to Give Thanks Story Event in celebration of Palentine's Day, Adaman (Palentine's 2026) & Sylveon are making their playable debut today in Pokémon Masters EX in a set of Seasonal Scouts. Also launching today is the latest Monthly Poké Fair Scout, plus Grimsley joins the Trainer Lodge.

The Pokémon Company’s newest merch collection is based on Pokémon that are so cute they lower their opponents’ guards, including Jigglypuff, Mimikyu, and Espurr. The new drop, called “Don’t Attack Me,” has an emphasis on reversible items, and includes apparel, home goods, and lots of accessories. Don’t Attack Me will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan on February 7th, and to the Pokémon Center Online on February 5th.

The latest Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE is Sirfetch’d, a Melee All-Rounder with Expert difficulty that deals Physical damage. As is usual for a new Pokémon release, a new set of Holowear has also been made available, with Gardening Style: Sirfetch'd now available in Zirco Trading, featuring Audio/Visual FX for Movement. Until February 24th, players can clear event missions to collect exclusive coins and exchange them for Sirfetch'd's Unite License.

Following the release of Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket's newest expansion, Fantastical Parade, various special missions are now available in-game. These missions are aimed at new and returning players to allow them to obtain frequently used cards easily. Additionally, the shop lineup has also been updated, with new accessories featuring Mimikyu now available.

The speedrunning community are coming together this weekend from January 30th to February 1st for ICE Breaker, a marathon raising money for Minnesotans being affected by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Races of both Pokémon Trading Card Game for the Gameboy and Pokémon Legends: Z-A are scheduled for the event, which can be watched from the ReallyReallyLongAThon Twitch channel.

Project VOLTAGE High ↑, the continuation to the art and music collaboration Pokémon feat. Hatsune Miku Project VOLTAGE between Pokémon and the popular Volcaloid character Hatsune Miku, has posted its fifth song, with the release of 「たびだちのうた 」 Departure Song, by Japanese musician and producer 烏屋茶房（カラスヤサボウ） Karasuya Sabou, on Wednesday, January 28th, at 6:39pm (JST).

The Pasio Special Stadium event originally run in May 2024, featuring battles against Champion Nate, is returning to Pokémon Masters EX for a limited time until February 8th, at 9:59pm (PST). In this Special Stadium, players will challenge a team comprised of Bruno, Sidney, Drasna, and Hala, lead by Champion Nate. All five of these trainers share the same Fairy-type weakness.

Cutiefly, and its evolution Ribombee, will be sleepwalking their way onto player's devices next month, as they make their Pokémon Sleep debut in this year's week-long event celebrating Valentine's Day. This event is scheduled to begin on February 9th at 4:00am local time, running through to February 16th at 3:59am local time.

This latest episode of Pokémon Horizons did that thing again where something important happens completely off-screen. Since when did the Rising Volt Tacklers contact Amethio, and since when did they decide to plan on rescuing the Six Heroes? Other than that pet peeve though, this was a cool episode.
