As part of the continuing 30th anniversary celebrations, it was announced late last month that more new episodes of the POKÉTOON series would be coming soon. Dates and times for the next two episodes have now been confirmed, with both episodes to air on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel within the coming two fortnight.

Pokémon UNITE's latest update, “Aeos Summer Rush”, was released on August 6th and brings balance adjustments for various Pokémon, alongside the usual bug fixes, and Shop and Event updates. Specifically, this update provides buffs (⇧) for Mewtwo (X), Zoroark, Alolan Raichu, Meganium, and Palkia; while bringing nerfs (⇩) for Feraligatr, Mega Lucario, Yveltal, Alcremie, and Zacian.

On August 5th, DeNA, the developers of Pokémon Masters EX and Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, released their financial results for the first quarter of the 2026 fiscal year, which encompasses the months of April, May, and June. In their reports to investors, the company noted that the revenue and profit from its gaming business had decreased significantly, with sales revenue falling 33.2% year-on-year to ¥12.12 billion and segment profit falling 62.0% to ¥3.826 billion. DeNA attributed the decline in fiscal performance to TCG Pocket, which had 39 million monthly active users (MAU) over the same three-month period last year, but only 23 million during those months in 2026.

Pokémon stories are usually stories about the bonds between trainer and Pokémon, so having an episode of Pokémon Horizons where two companions don’t get along, and are forced to without Pokémon being the main focus, is honestly rare. People might argue about rivalries and villainous teams, but those are a different kind of conflict. Anyways, this episode mostly focuses Navi and Ult trying to get along.

A former Director of Engineering at The Pokémon Company International’s (TPCi) Bellevue location in Washington State has been charged with numerous crimes regarding voyeurism and possession of child sex abuse material. Ben Tsai, 45, worked for TPCi from 2017 to 2026 and is accused of hiding cameras in the office’s bathrooms, and at other nearby businesses. One unnamed victim is now bringing a class action lawsuit against TPCi for their alleged negligence regarding Tsai’s alleged crimes.

The Neo Champions: Facing the Future with Fight event is returning to Pokémon Masters EX today for the very first time. This event is available in-game now, and will continue until August 13th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) has announced a new collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) for World Space Week, which will run from October 4th to October 10th this year. Details for exactly what the collab will entail have not yet been revealed, but both organizations express a shared “desire to build bridges between space, science and storytelling, and to spark excitement among young audiences and fans around the world.”

The folks over at the independent video game record label GameChops have announced the release of Poké Emo, the latest work of multi-instrumentalist and sound designer Nestor Estrada, a.k.a. Tune In With Chewie. This album features heartfelt guitar performances of classic Pokémon music arranged in the style of early-2000s emo and alternative rock.

The Pokémon Company International has been pairing up with tons of fashion companies recently for merch in celebration of the franchise’s 30th anniversary. Now, Adidas has announced a wide range of Pokémon sneakers for adults, and one for kids, coming in September. There are more than a dozen different models coming in the drop, leaning hard into the Pokémon theme with wings, ears, eyes, cool textured materials, and even fur on some sneakers.

Sleep Researchers will soon be getting another opportunity to observe the sleep styles of a Legendary Pokémon, with a new event featuring Mewtwo announced for Pokémon Sleep. This event is set to begin sometime in September. A separate new event will also be run giving players an additional chance to befriend Mew.

The Ruler of the Skies Emblem Event is now underway in Pokémon TCG Pocket, giving players the opportunity to acquire emblems to set on their in-game player profiles. This event is set to run through to August 12th, at 10:59pm (PDT) / August 13th, at 5:59am (UTC).

Gym Battles return to Pokémon Masters EX today with this revised and updated version of the Pasio Gym Battle event. Battles for Johto Gym Leaders Assembled will run through to August 8th, at 10:59pm (PDT). Also launching today are special Tiered Scouts featuring three Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs.

The Pokémon Center is continuing to roll out merch in its Timeless Adventures series, this time debuting some goods inspired by the Kalos region. The store is also debuting a new mini collection of four squeezable plushes with flapping fins. Both these additions will arrive to the Pokémon Center Online on August 5th, and the flapping fin plushes will arrive to Pokémon Centers in Japan on August 8th.

The summer 2026 edition of European Speedrunner Assembly will be streaming live from August 1st to August 8th. It will be taking place live out of the Quality Hotel View in Malmö Sweden. Runs of Pokémon White 2, Pokémon Platinum, and Pokémon Sapphire will be taking place across the course of the marathon. White 2 and Sapphire can be watched on stream one, while Platinum will be shown on stream two.
