A yet unnamed 32-year-old man has been arrested in Saitama Prefecture in Japan on suspicion of tampering with the save data and selling physical copies of Pokémon Sun. The man, who identified himself as self-employed, is suspected of listing hacked Pokémon Sun copies for sale online and subsequently selling one to a man in Ishikawa Prefecture in May of 2024.

Pokémon TCG Pocket has launched its second PvP event: the Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event. Japanese company Tomica, known for its miniature-sized car toys, has collaborated with the Japanese Pokémon Center stores to release two new car toys of Koraidon in its Sprinting Build and Miraidon in its Drive Mode. Both will release on online stores in Japan on December 12th, with physical releases to follow on December 14th. Each toy is priced at JPY ¥1,430.

Bandai has put up a page for a new set of water squirters themed around Pokémon featured in the Pokémon Horizons animated series, such as Captain Pikachu, Floragato, Quaxwell, Tatsugiri and Quagsire. The Pokémon Company has announced a new cheerful merch collection, starring Pikachu with its two hand fans and a Focus Band. The collection also features some other victorious Pokêmon, like Plusle and Minun with pom poms and Victini. The cheer collection will be available at Pokémon Centers across Japan beginning December 14th, and will become available at the Pokémon Center Online on December 12th.
Pokémon TCG Pocket is starting to hit its stride, establishing a regular rhythm of monthly events. December 2024's Wonder Pick Event Part 1 brings new Bulbasaur and Magnemite promo cards to the game's Wonder Pick feature, along with a selection of limited time event items to the in-game shop, including a pair of backgrounds, and a binder cover. This event will run through to December 19th, at 9:59pm (PST).
