Pokémon GO is once again ringing in the New Year with a special New Year's celebration event, which this year will commence on New Year's Eve, Wednesday, December 31st, at 10:00am, running through to Sunday, January 4th, 2026, at 8:00pm local time. During this event, festive fireworks will light up the skies.
Pokémon GO will have an official booth on the campus of IIT-Bombay in Mumbai for this week's Techfest 2025 festival. In addition to some special in-game activities running the length of the event, from Monday, December 22nd, at 10:00am to Wednesday, December 24th, at 8:00pm local time, Trainers are also invited to attend the event in-person and take part in the Catch Cup tournament.
Gigantamax Snorlax makes its return this month as the featured Pokémon for Pokémon GO's final Max Battle Day for 2025 on Sunday, December 14th, running as usual from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time. Lucky Trainers may also encounter Gigantamax Snorlax in its Shiny variant during this event.
The first rule of Fighting-type Pokémon events is that you tell everyone about them. Trainers in Pokémon GO mid-this month will be getting their hands on a bunch of Fighting-type Pokémon in the Well Armed event, which will be running from Thursday, December 11th, at 10:00am to Tuesday, December 16th, at 8:00pm local time.
The next set of special Tera Raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be focusing on the Stealth Pokémon Dragapult, which will be making its first appearance in 7-star Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles between December 5th at midnight (UTC) / 4th at 4:00pm (PST), and December 7th at 11:59pm (UTC) / 3:59pm (PST). This will be followed by a second appearance one week later from December 12th at midnight (UTC) / 11th at 4:00pm (PST), to December 14th at 11:59pm (UTC) / 3:59pm (PST). Blissey will also be appearing more frequently in 5-star Tera Raid Battles during the second weekend of this event.
Trainers will be traveling to the Paldea region early next month in Pokémon GO in the Journey to Paldea event, running from Tuesday, December 2nd, at 10:00am through to Tuesday, December 9th, at 8:00pm local time. Nacli, Naclstack, and Garganacl will all make their Pokémon GO debuts as part of this event.
Trainers can look forward to a number of activities, bonuses, and events that will be running in-game in Pokémon GO throughout December with the start of the Precious Paths season, including a new GO Pass.
Pokémon GO's newest season: Precious Paths, commences next week on December 2nd at 10:00am local time, running through to March 3rd, 2026 at 9:59am local time. Ahead of the new season, Scopely have released details on activities, bonuses, and new features that will be running in-game in conjunction with this new season.
Dynamax Lugia will be making its debut in five-star Max Battles in Pokémon GO's next Max Battle Weekend, running from Saturday, November 29th at 6:00am to Sunday, November 30th, at 9:00pm local time. Lucky Trainers may also encounter Dynamax Lugia in its Shiny variant during this event.

Details have been released for Pokémon GO's December Community Day event for 2025, which despite the name will run across an entire weekend, Saturday December 6th and Sunday December 7th. Pokémon that were featured in Community Day and Community Day Classic events in 2025 will return for this event.
The Tales of Transformation Season is coming to a close at the end of this month, culminating in the Final Justice event, which will be running from Tuesday, November 25th, at 10:00am to Sunday, November 30th, at 8:00pm local time. The event features the Pokémon GO debut of Resolute Form Keldeo in the last part of the Seasonal Special Research story, which will be unlocked at the beginning of this event. Shiny Keldeo will also appear for the first time.
Pikipek, the Woodpecker Pokémon, will be the featured Pokémon for Pokémon GO's November 2025 Community Day, which will be held at the very end of the month on Sunday, November 30th, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time. During this event, Pikipek will be appearing more frequently in the wild, together with their Shiny variant. Trainers may also catch one that has a Special Background.
Dynamax Eevee will be making its debut in two-star Max Battles in Pokémon GO's next Max Battle Weekend, running from Friday, November 21st at 6:00am to Monday, November 24th, at 9:00pm local time. Lucky Trainers may also encounter Dynamax Eevee in its Shiny variant during this event.
Shiny Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut later this month in the High Voltage event, running from Tuesday, November 18th, at 10:00am to Saturday, November 22nd, at 8:00pm local time. Trainers will have a chance to encounter Shiny Morpeko from a Collection Challenge, Field and paid Timed Research, the GO Battle League, and surprise snapshot encounters.
Ahead of the upcoming Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global, Pokémon GO will be holding a new Into the Wild event next week from Monday, November 10th, at 10:00am, running through to Friday, November 14th, at 8:00pm local time. As with the Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global event, Into the Wild will feature a variety of Dark- and Fairy-type Pokémon. This event also features the Pokémon GO global debut of the Silver Bottle Cap for Hyper Training. A special GO Pass: Into the Wild will also be available over the entire event period.
