The 2024 Pokémon Orlando Regional Championships were held from 13-14 April 2024, and were won by 2016 World Champion Wolfe Glick. This tournament used the Regulation Set F format, allowing access to every Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet, excluding Restricted Special Pokémon such as Koraidon or Miraidon.

The 2026 Grand Challenge III was won by 2016 World Champion Wolfe Glick. More details on the highest-placing teams from each region can be found below! This event was the third Online Competition in the 2026 Championship Series and used the Regulation Set H ruleset, banning the use of all Paradox, Legendary, and Restricted Special Pokémon. Additional Grand Challenges are confirmed to take place in January and May; Global Challenges will be taking place too, but their dates are currently unannounced.

The 2024 Pokémon Europe International Championships (EUIC) were held from 5-7 April 2024, and were won by 2018 Worlds Semi-finalist Nils Dunlop. This tournament is currently the highest-level event to use the Regulation Set F format, allowing access to every Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet, excluding Restricted Special Pokémon such as Koraidon and Miraidon.

The next ruleset for the Pokémon Video Game Championships (VGC) has been announced; following a series of polls held on Play! Pokémon's various social media accounts, Regulation Set F was voted to return from 1 December 2025 to 31 March 2026. This is the final official ruleset for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet before the release of Pokémon Champions and reintroduction of Mega Evolution to VGC in early 2026.

The Legendary Pokémon Xerneas is now legal to use in Season 2 of Pokémon Legends Z-A's Ranked Battles, and in a similar fashion to its performance in the Video Game Championships (VGC) from 2016 to 2019, it's swiftly dominating its competition. In an unofficial 32-player tournament run by content creator and VGC player Phillip Wingett (also known as THATSAplusONE), Xerneas appeared on four teams in the Top 8, including the winning team.
