This event was the third Online Competition in the 2026 Championship Series and used the Regulation Set H ruleset, banning the use of all Paradox, Legendary, and Restricted Special Pokémon. The next ruleset for the Pokémon Video Game Championships (VGC) has been announced; following a series of polls held on Play! Pokémon's various social media accounts, Regulation Set F was voted to return from 1 December 2025 to 31 March 2026. This is the final official ruleset for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet before the release of Pokémon Champions and reintroduction of Mega Evolution to VGC in early 2026.

The Legendary Pokémon Xerneas is now legal to use in Season 2 of Pokémon Legends Z-A's Ranked Battles, and in a similar fashion to its performance in the Video Game Championships (VGC) from 2016 to 2019, it's swiftly dominating its competition. The 2026 Pokémon Gdańsk Regional Championships were won by Simone Sanvito, a trainer known for their previous victory at the 2018 Europe International Championships (EUIC). This tournament used the Regulation Set H ruleset, banning the use of all Paradox, Legendary, and Restricted Special Pokémon. This is the final event in Europe before the format's biggest tournament: the 2026 Latin America International Championships (LAIC), taking place from 21-23 November 2025.

The third Online Competition in the 2026 Championship Series has been announced. The sign-up period for the 2026 Grand Challenge III runs from 30 October 2025 at 00:00 UTC to 6 November 2025 at 23:59 UTC, and the event itself runs throughout the weekend of 7 November at 00:00 UTC to 9 November 2025 at 23:59 UTC. The 2026 Pokémon Lille Regional Championships were won by Marco Hemantha Kaludura Silva, a trainer known for currently being the only player with three International wins at the 2020 Oceania Internationals, and the 2024 and 2025 Latin America Internationals back-to-back. The winning team features a very uncommon combination of Kommo-o and Ribombee. This tournament used the Regulation Set H ruleset, banning the use of all Paradox, Legendary, and Restricted Special Pokémon.

The Victory Road October Challenge (2025), an unofficial Video Game Championships (VGC) grassroots tournament hosting high-level trainers, featured 168 trainers battling for a prize of $570 USD. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's latest Online Competition, Terastal Crescendo, was won by Takuro Suefuji alongside the Restricted Special Pokémon Miraidon and some more uncommon picks in Hippowdon and Chansey. The event ran from 10-12 October 2025 and used a special ruleset in which trainers were limited to a selection of only two Pokémon from their team in each battle. Additionally, one of the two Pokémon was required to be either Koraidon or Miraidon.

The 2026 Pokémon Belo Horizonte Regional Championships were won by Renzo Navarro, a trainer known for their three previous Regional Champion titles and victory in Pokémon Sword and Shield's Players Cup IV. This tournament used the Regulation Set H ruleset, banning the use of all Paradox, Legendary, and Restricted Special Pokémon.

The 2026 Pokémon Milwaukee Regional Championships were won by Alex Arand, a 3x Regional Semi-finalist. This tournament used the Regulation Set H ruleset, banning the use of all Paradox, Legendary, and Restricted Special Pokémon.
