The fourth episode of the second season of the POKÉTOON series has been released on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel. The episode is titled 「ゴーゴートに乗って」 ("Riding on Gogoat"), and features a boy and a Gogoat who become friends while racing through the city.
Pokémon UNITE Weekend, which is held on the first Saturday and Sunday of every month, is back again from October 5th at 12:00am (UTC), through to October 6th at 11:59pm (UTC). As with like previous months, all Pokémon licenses will be free to use (outside of Ranked matches) over the weekend, along with the ability to earn a large amount of Aeos coins, Aeos energy, and battle points over the weekly limit. All players will receive a 1-Day Battle Point Boost Card upon login each day, allowing them to double the amount of Battle Points earned after each battle. The energy multiplier for Aeos energy earned after each battle will also be increased, with this multiplier stacking with any Energy Boost Tanks used.
The third episode of the second season of the POKÉTOON series has been released on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel. The episode is titled 「ドオー大量発生ちゅう?」 ("Mass Outbreak of Clodsire?"), and features a girl who while searching for Wooper, stumbles upon a mass outbreak of Paldean Wooper and Closdire. As announced earlier, new episodes from this second season of POKÉTOON will be released on YouTube weekly every Wednesday until November 6th.
Pokémon UNITE will end service in Belgium and the Netherlands from November 30th, 2025. Players in the two countries will no longer be able to purchase new Aeos Gems and other in-game items from October 31st, this year. While no official reason has been given for this termination, it has been speculated that this may be coming about due to the in-game mechanics of reward boxes qualifying as gambling elements under local laws, which would place certain regulatory restrictions and obligations on the game.
Pokémon UNITE has updated to Version 1.16.1.4 as of 7:00am (UTC) on September 27th, bringing with it a variety of Bug Fixes and Shop and Event updates. This update also adds the first Orange Rarity Holowear (Elegant Style: Sylveon), alongside new events and a new item: Goal Hacker.

A selection of music from Pokémon Sleep is now available on Spotify. This contains an album of 34 songs for Trainers to enjoy, and a playlist of 20 sleep-related tunes selected from the album, including early releases of three relaxing songs that have yet to be added to Pokémon Sleep. Both the album and the playlist are free to access with a Spotify account, and each tune includes a matching visual showcasing the sleep styles of various Pokémon.
The Pokémon Company has announced that a new season of the POKÉTOON series of animated shorts, featuring more musical elements than the earlier season, is being released on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel starting today, September 18th. The first short of this season, Pawmi, Pawmo, Pawmot is available to enjoy right now, with a new episode to be released every Wednesday for the next eight weeks.
A second evolution of Charcadet has joined the fray in Pokémon UNITE — Armarouge will be playable for all players in-game starting September 12th. Armarouge is a Special-attacking Ranged Attacker with Intermediate difficulty, and can be purchased from the in-game shop for Aeos gem 790 Aeos Gems, and will be available for Aeos coin 13,000 Aeos Coins from next week.

A new Battle Pass for Season 26 is available to buy in Pokémon UNITE from September 5th, running through to October 24. This Battle Pass features Neo Street Style Holowear for Greninja and Zacian. New trainer outfits and background and frames will also be available, with new Holowear to be released during the event period.
Pokémon UNITE updated to Version 1.16.1.2 on September 5th. These updates, dubbed "Hyper Voltage" (Japanese: 「ハイパーボルテージ」), bring balance adjustments for a variety of Pokémon and various inventory adjustments alongside bug fixes and Shop and Event updates, and prepare for Armarouge's arrival to the game. Additionally, a new gift code has also been released, enabling players to obtain rental licenses for Sylveon, Pikachu, Buzzwole, and Gengar.
The release date for Darkrai, the next Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE has been revealed — It will be available to play from October 17th. Darkrai is a Special-Attacking Ranged Speedster with Expert Difficulty. At the time of writing, no further details have on Darkrai have been officially announced, however it has been available in the public test server since August 29th. The Public Test app aims to gather data for balance changes and bug fixes, which will be utilized in future updates. The app is available only on Android devices in English in Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, or India. Darkrai was originally announced to be joining Pokémon UNITE during the 2024 Pokémon World Championships Closing Ceremony, along with Armarouge and Psyduck. Armarouge will be joining the fray on September 12th, with Psyduck debuting in November. Armarouge and Psyduck hav been available in the public test server since August 22nd and September 5th...
Pokémon Sleep will enter a maintenance period early next week on Tuesday August 27th for an update of the software to Version 1.11.0. Unlike previous maintenance periods, this one will take place at a different time, and is expected to run for roughly four and a half hours, from 10:30am until 15:10am (UTC). In addition to preparing the game for the upcoming 2-week Suicune Research event (commencing the following week on September 2nd), the update includes some balance changes as well as the addition of some minor new quality of life features.

The 2024 Pokémon World Championships Closing Ceremony revealed a lot of information about upcoming updates to Pokémon GO and the Pokémon TCG, along with the addition of three new Pokémon to the Pokémon UNITE roster - Armarouge, Darkrai, and Psyduck. Only Armarouge has been given a definite release date at this time, with it joining the fray on September 12th. Darkrai and Psyduck will join the fray in October and November, respectively, with the release dates to be revealed over the upcoming months.
During the first day of the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, a new battle mode was announced for Pokémon UNITE. In this speedy new battle mode, the first team to score 500 goal points wins.
