Mega Gyarados is the latest Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE. It is a separate Unite License from Gyarados's regular Unite License. It is a Melee All-Rounder with Intermediate difficulty that deals Physical damage. It can Mega Evolve for a short while after using its Unite Move Dragon Current. To celebrate the introduction of Mega Evolution licenses, a special event in-game event will be held till December 19th, where players can complete missions to earn the Unite license for Mega Gyarados.

Pokémon UNITE updated to Version ver.1.21.1.2 at 4:00am (UTC) on December 4th. This update, dubbed "The Roar of Sea and Sky" (Japanese: 「蒼天海吼」), brings the new "License Journeys" feature, along with Ranked Matches Draft revamp, Main menu UI overhaul, the Theia Sky Ruins (Kyogre) map, the Snowball Battle in Shivre City event, and the usual balance adjustments, bug fixes, and Shop and Event updates. Specifically, this update provides buffs (⇧) for Glaceon, Mewtwo (X), Mewtwo (Y), Ho-Oh, Scizor, Gyarados, and Tyrannitar; both buffs and nerfs (⇅) for Dhelmise and Mamoswine; while bringing nerfs (⇩) for Latios, Darkrai, Clefable, Suicune, and Alolan Raichu.

The next Mega Evolution Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE have been revealed: Mega Gyarados will be available in-game next week from Friday, December 5th, while Mega Charizard Y will be available from Friday, December 19th. Both will be separate licenses to Gyarados and Charizard's regular unite licenses, and can be obtained via events for a limited time.

The newest Wonder Pick Event in Pokémon TCG Pocket brings new Torchic and Psyduck promo cards to the game's Wonder Pick feature, along with a selection of limited time Psyduck-themed event items to the in-game shop. This event will run through to December 6th, at 9:59pm (PST). The newest Ranked Match Season, for the Mega Rising Expansion, is also underway, running through to December 13th, at 9:59pm (PST).

A new letter from the Pokémon UNITE team has revealed details about new changes and updates planned for the game in December and beyond: Details about License Points and Aeos Coins exchange; Updates to the Ranking System; Updates to the Theia Sky Ruins map; Changes to Exp. Points distribution; and Additional features for team play and communication.

To celebrate Eevee Day, which is held annually on November 21st, Pokémon UNITE is holding a variety of Eevee Festival events, which will allow players to obtain multiple Eeveelution-based rewards. This Eevee Festival comes just one day after Vaporeon's addition to the game, which is the latest Eeveelution to join the fray after Sylveon, Espeon, Glaceon, Umbreon, and Leafeon.

Pokémon UNITE has announced a new feature for the game: License Journeys, which allow players to unlock Unite licenses for free after accumulating enough license points (obtained as battle pass, post-match, or other events rewards). As such, Aeos Coins will be discontinued starting December 4, 2025, with players will be able to exchange previously earned Aeos coins until May 2026.

Pokémon UNITE's Ver.1.20.3.11 update, dubbed "Guardian Awakening [Part 2]" (Japanese: 「守り手の覚醒 Part2」), brings balance adjustments for various Pokémon, alongside bug fixes and Shop and Event updates, ahead of Dhelmise's addition to the game and the upcoming Eevee Festival event. Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is celebrating its first anniversary on October 30th, also commemorating the launch of the first expansion of the "B Series", Mega Rising, which is now available in-game. To celebrate, various events are being held as part of the First Anniversary Celebration Campaign. The release dates for Dhelmise and Vaporeon, the next Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE, have been revealed — Dhelmise will be available from November 14, while Vaporeon will be debuting on November 20. Dhelmise is a Melee All-Rounder that deals Physical damage; while Vaporeon is a Special-Attacking Ranged Defender. At the time of writing, no further details on these two Pokémon have been announced.

A sweepstake will be held in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket among players with Advanced Tickets, with 100 players winning the 1st prize of 1,200 pack hourglasses. 10,000 players will win the 2nd prize of 120 pack hourglasses; while all other players (even those without an advance ticket) will win 24 pack hourglasses. Select episodes of the globally popular stop-motion animation series “Pokémon Concierge” are now available to watch on various official Pokémon YouTube channels till November 9th. “Pokémon Concierge” follows the story of Pokémon Resort concierge Haru, the Psyduck she works with and the many Pokémon and Trainers who visit as guests. The cast includes のん Non as Haru's Japanese voice, Karen Fukuhara as Haru's English voice, and 高坂宙 Hiroshi Kosaka as Psyduck.

The first batch of new episodes from Pokémon Horizons: Season 3—Rising Hope, the third season of Pokémon Horizons: The Series, is now available for streaming on BBC iPlayer in the United Kingdom. This batch consists of 11 episodes. The opening theme for the season is "Evolving Again", written by Ed Goldfarb and Nataan Hong, with vocals by Haven Paschall.
