Pokémon UNITE updated to Version 1.15.1.3 at 7:00am (UTC) on July 25th, ahead of the start of Battle Pass Season 25. This update brings balance changes to the newest Pokémon, Ho-Oh, along with Shop and Event updates for the the ongoing 3rd Anniversary Celebrations. Specifically, this update balances out Ho-Oh's Unite Move, Rekindling Flame, which has not been used in battles much by players due to issues with its range, amount of Aeos Energy needed, and required Unite Move gauge amount. Additionally, this update also brings bug fixes where moves of other Pokémon were not functioning as intended.
Pokémon UNITE is celebrating its 3rd Anniversary from July 19th, 2024, with a variety of in-game events, addition of new holowear, and a new Pokémon joining the fray — Ho-Oh. A new Battle Pass for Season 25 will also be arriving on July 26th, and various announcements have revealed details about ongoing events, as well as upcoming plans for the game.
Ho-Oh is the latest Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE. A selection of minor shop and event updates have also been made for Pokémon UNITE's 3rd Anniversary.
Pokémon UNITE updated to Version 1.15.1.2 on July 16th. These updates, dubbed "Shadow Flame" (Japanese: 「シャドウフレイム」), bring balance adjustments for a variety of Pokémon alongside bug fixes and Shop and Event updates. The patch notes and in-game data also reveal information about the upcoming 3rd Anniversary events, which begin July 19th. The announcements include teasing the moves of the next Pokémon to join the fray — Ho-Oh, the return of the Panic Parade game mode, various commemorative events, new regulations for Ranked Match Series 21, and more. Additionally, a new gift code has also been released, enabling players to obtain rental licenses for Charizard, Ceruledge, Chandelure, and Gyarados.
Pokémon UNITE Weekend, which is held on the first Saturday and Sunday of every month, is back from July 6th at 12:00am (UTC), through to July 7th at 11:59pm (UTC). As with like previous months, all Pokémon licenses will be free to use (outside of Ranked matches) over the weekend, along with the ability to earn a large amount of Aeos coins, Aeos energy, and battle points over the weekly limit. All players will receive a 1-Day Battle Point Boost Card upon login each day, allowing them to double the amount of Battle Points earned after each battle. The energy multiplier for Aeos energy earned after each battle will also be increased, with this multiplier stacking with any Energy Boost Tanks used.
Pokémon UNITE will be celebrating its third anniversary on July 21st. Ahead of this anniversary, the official Twitter accounts for the game have teased upcoming celebratory events with various key visuals, along with Ho-Oh's addition to the game on July 19th. The key visual also teases new Holowear for Charizard, Delphox, Ceruledge, Talonflame, and Chandelure. Additionally, new Noble Style: Mimikyu Holowear is also available starting June 27th.
Pokémon UNITE updated to Version 1.14.2.10 on June 19th, which brought balance adjustments for a variety of Pokémon, along side a gift code for a rental license of Blaziken, Duraludon, Mimikyu, or Slowbro. The update, dubbed "Scorching Waves", will also re-introduce the Pika Party game mode starting June 22nd, where all Pokémon on the field—both wild and player-controlled—will be Pikachu! A new Holowear for Slowbro, Champion Style, has also been added to the game.
After a long wait, Ceruledge is finally available in Pokémon UNITE alongside the Ver.1.14.2.9 update, which dropped at at 12:00am (PDT) on 13th June. In addition to adding Cerulege to the game, this update also come with some minor shop and event updates.
As announced earlier today, Pokémon UNITE Players can receive 3-day Rental Licenses for Espeon, Lapras, Zoroark, Comfey, and Gardevoir using the gift code 「NAIC2024」to play like the 2023 Pokémon UNITE Championship Series North American Champions TTV. Players will also receive a 3-day Holowear Rental for Aurora Style: Gardevoir and an UCS sticker. This gift code will expire at midnight (UTC) on June 10th.
During the Pokémon Japan Championships 2024 this past weekend, it was announced that Pokémon UNITE's newest playable Pokémon, Ceruledge, would be making its debut on Thursday June 13th. The announcement was also accompanied by the promotional video for Battle Pass Season 24, which will be available to buy from Thursday June 6th.
The Pokémon Music Collective project has released a new song: "Lucky" by Nulbarich and Sunny (feat. UMI), which focuses on Pokémon Centers, an iconic and indispensable part of the franchise. The song shares its name with the Japanese name of Chansey (ラッキー Lucky), a Pokémon highly associated with Pokémon Centers in the anime. The relaxing song also samples the Pokémon Center theme. The music video was released on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel on May 24th, and on the official Asian channels on May 25th.
The latest series of Pokémon anime, Pokémon Horizons: The Series, is set to have its Indian premiere in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubs from May 25th on Hungama TV, with one episode released each Saturday and Sunday. This marks 10 years of collaboration between the Disney-Star India-owned Hungama TV network and Pokémon since it obtained the rights to the anime and started airing a redubbed production of the anime since May 2014. This will also mark the quickest debut of a new Pokémon anime series in India (406 days from the Japanese release and 78 days from the US release), beating the previous record of Pokémon The Series: XY (569 days and 567 days from the Japanese and US releases).
