Pokémon Masters EX has announced the new arc coming to the game will be the Villain Arc. The Kanto Chapter of this arc will commence on September 29, 2021. Before the main story begins, Villain Event Prelude: Looming Shadow of Kanto, the prelude to the arc will start on September 15, 2021, at 11:00 p.m. PDT. The Kanto Chapter will focus on Team Rocket arriving in the Pasio region. It also introduces the Dynamax mechanic to the game.

The Two Champions Story Event is back in Pokémon Masters EX, and will run until June 7th, 10:59 p.m (PT). Participants who played the previous event can also still take part and claim the rewards for a second time. A Super Spotlight Poké Fair is also running alongside the event, featuring four fair-exclusive Sync Pairs.
Two new Galar region sync pairs come to Pokémon Masters EX with the game's Splash and Punch event, which began earlier this week on May 12th at 11pm, and will be running until the 28th at 10:59pm. The event showcases the sync pais of Nessa & Drednaw, and Bea & Sirfetch'd. Completing special event missions during the event will unlock special stories involving these newcomers.
