Pokémon: The Orchestra coming to South Korea in November to celebrate Pokémon’s 30th Anniversary

Pokémon Korea has officially announced today that a Pokémon: The Orchestra performance will be coming sometime in November of this year in celebration of the Pokémon franchise’s 30th anniversary. Details regarding the program and its venue have not been announced, though Pokémon Korea has previously celebrated with Pokémon: The Orchestra for performances of music from Pokémon video games.

The folks over at the independent video game record label GameChops have announced the upcoming release of Poké Ambient 2, the latest work of Italian lofi and synthwave producer Helynt. This album features slow-moving ambient arrangements and interpretations of classic Pokémon music using a mix of gentle synthesizers, soft piano, and guitar, created for relaxation, studying, and quiet everyday listening.

Pokémon’s next mainline game, Winds and Waves, is still pretty far away from its release date in 2027, but The Pokémon Company is giving fans a look at the making of the game’s main theme. A new video is showing off behind-the-scenes footage of a performance by NHK Symphony Orchestra, who recorded the song as it will appear in the new games.

As part of the year-long Pokémon 30th Anniversary celebrations, a new music project in line with the second theme of "Singing" called Pokémon All-Stars 1025 (ポケモンオールスターズ1025) by by Masayoshi Ōishi (オーイシマサヨシ) has begun. This project involves creating a song featuring all 1,025 Pokémon introduced from Pokémon Red and Green to Pokémon Scarlet Violet: The Treasure of Zero in the lyrics. The music video for the first part of the song, featuring 213 Pokémon, has now been released on the Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel. A full version featuring all 1,025 Pokémon is also planned for release in the future.

Pokémon Night Out concerts announced for LA and London, featuring EDM artists Marshmello and Alison Wonderland

The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) has announced details for their Pokémon Night Out, which will consist of two EDM concerts with artists Marshmello and Alison Wonderland performing. The first concert will take place October 24th of this year in Los Angeles, and the other will be on November 10th in London. Both concerts will feature Pokémon-inspired visuals, special effects, and other stage technology.

The Pokémon Company is once again collaborating with the NHK Symphony Orchestra, this time for a series of Pokémon-themed concerts to be performed across Japan. The tour offers four dates in four cities, beginning in August of this year. The Pokémon Company is expanding its collaboration with vocaloid Hatsune Miku, this time launching a collection of merchandise featuring the singer as a Pokémon Trainer specializing in each of the 18 types. Pokémon x Hatsune Miku are also adding to their catalog of songs, launching their first song of 2026 on January 28th. The new merch collection, “18 Harmony Stage,” will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan on January 31st, and to the Pokémon Center Online on January 29th.
