More self-indulgence. Expect more of that along the way because drawing myself as various Pokemon/creatures is how I relieve stress and it’s kinda been a stressful time lately. I’m also trying to explore my official fursona’s design.

This isn’t meant to be an official Pokesona of mine or anything. Just a what-if. I suppose it’s what I’d be if I were a Dragon-type, because that’s what this is. It’s a variant of Nidoqueen exclusive to me - Solastasian Nidoqueen.

Something about this strikes a certain cord in me though. My official fursona is still in beta design stage, and there are some elements from this design I wish to explore. It takes me back to a time of my childhood where I used to love doodling dinosaurs, monsters, and kaiju-like things. I’ve always had a soft spot for Nidoqueen for being a rare feminine representation of this - so in a sense, I feel she embodies that part of me. Also, she’s mammalian and basically a rabbit dino, and I tend to veer more towards mammals, so I love her even more. Just a stellar Pokemon with a unique design I want to pay tribute to.

Pokedex 1:
Solastasian Nidoqueen has done away with the poison spines of its original form in favor of a mane and horn teeming with tremendous energy. It uses this energy to help Pokemon and people in need.

Pokedex 2:
Its horn and gem allow it to sense the emotions of others. This Pokemon despises negative emotions and will either try to aid those in need or become overwhelmed and go into a surly rage. When raging, it hides itself from others to prevent harming them.

Beta Ver 1.2 - Mia Solastasia Default​

After centuries, we have a new [mostly] complete art! This is the Beta Version 1.2 of my fursona.

This is very close to the final design. I'm not 100% satisfied. I like the design mostly - it's just the way I drew it. I feel I need more practice with this new body type I've been experimenting with. [Even though I have like five million rejected doodles of this and have been tormenting myself for close to a year about this iteration.]

She's an Agnelian Felis, my own created species. I'll come out with more info about her and the species later, once I complete her final design.

As a Pokemon artist, I took inspiration from Delcatty and Hatterene. I did this doodle based based on a theoretical fake Pokemon I made called "Catterene." Which is Hatterene but in cat form. This obviously isn't a Fakemon. Just an inspired original creation. The ears and hair strands atop are meant to evoke a witch's hat, as she is very magical in nature. I'll be keeping those, though then length and exact style of the hair might change in the final iteration. The shoes and socks are final as well.

It's an appleboy! I drew this for a friend of mine so that she could use it as a profile picture on Discord.

Quick sloppy doodle detailing a colored version of my fursona, Arylett the Felis, to give me a general idea of what her outfit would look like. Might be changed a bit with minor tweaks [and better art].

Part 2. After a huge art slump and some practice, I think I've finally got it. Body-accurate fursona, wearing her lab coat and being a Lab Woman. It's pretty sketchy, but will be cleaned up and have shoes added.

Concept for a more body accurate fursona. Still working on it though, but this is a good start. I actually drew this, no worries.

I'm... experimenting with body positivity with my fursona. I want her to be more similar to the real me, so I plan on having a more realistic body shape. Please do not mock me for this. I am rather sensitive about this topic, but I'm trying my best to like myself for who I am.

Came up with this one a while ago. It was supposed to be a fakemon version of myself, but I actually really like her as a fursona. So I'll probably use this as the basis for my design. She's based on a mixture of Gardevoir, Meowstic, and Espeon. Was supposed to be Psychic/Grass.

Concept for Mio with long hair from Xenoblade 3. She typically looks like this. But I am always irritated by how anime cat girls aren't cat enough, so I added some more cat. Now she is complete!

Look, it's a human! It was inspired by watching my friend Wiz's stream of Persona 3 Reload. Me as a Persona 3 character. The fun thing about this is that this is actually me at 17 years old - I was a teenager when Persona 3 Reload takes place. [in 2009]

Smaugust Day 31: Liberated [ 2023 ]

This is Narwaltz, an Sky*/Ice Fakemon. It is the Boundless Pokemon, and is one of three evolutions for a small dolphinlike Pokemon I haven't designed yet. A mythical beast that flies endlessly through the skies, its lifespan seemingly frozen in time. It sings a song that lifts the hearts of those who hear it, and inspires the oppressed to break free of their shackles. Probably one of my favorite of the Fakemon I've created - I kind of wanted to give it Dewgong vibes.

This is the last of the Smaugust pieces. FINALLY done posting these here after like... a bajillion months of delays. Still, the fact that I managed to make this many pieces in such a short amount of time is impressive. Next artworks I post will be unSmaugust-related.

Smaugust Day 29: Cursed [ 2023 ]

This is Pandorakia, an Ice/Poison Legendary Fakemon. It is the Fallblight Aeon Pokemon, part of a series of nine legendaries known as Aeons. Definitely one of my favorite aeon concepts for its uniqueness. I wanted to try to make a Pokemon of this unique typing work and I feel making it a draconic ice scorpion really helped with that. Pandorakia's entire body is made of putrid, frozen poisonous crystals. Within its armor lingers its true body made of poisonous cores, which secrete an icy venom so foul that it instantly corrupts the unfortunate target's soul and sends them straight to the afterlife.

Victims of Pandorakia are left as soulless husks whose frozen bodies slowly wither away to snowy dust. It is the harbinger of the falls of many civilizations and Pokemon species, withering away all flora and fauna in its wake, and is highly feared as Zekamet Agent of Blight.
