Everything we know so far about The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, the upcoming DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet

In the Pokémon Presents video presentation that aired earlier today, The Pokémon Company announced for the first time a set of two expansions for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero will release two parts in the back half of this year, with The Teal Mask launching during the northern hemisphere autumn, while The Indigo Disk will release during the northern hemisphere winter. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is available for pre-purchase now on the Nintendo eShop.

The newly announced Walking Wake and Iron Leaves will be available in 5-star Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet until March 12th

The newly announced Paradox Pokémon, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, will be appearing in 5-star Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet until March 12th, at 11:59pm (UTC). Walking Wake will appear exclusively for players with Pokémon Scarlet, while Iron Leaves will be appearing exclusively in Pokémon Violet. All Walking Wake and Iron Leaves encountered during this debut event for the Pokémon will have the Water Psychic Tera Types respectively.

Pokémon Masters EX drops two Triple Feature Poké Fair Scouts, alongside a Run-Up to 3.5 Years 5★ Champion Select Ticket Scout

With the clock having already ticked over to Pokémon Day in Japan, Pokémon Masters EX has dropped a collection of special scouts, allowing players multiple opportunities to pair up with sync pairs of regional champions from across the history of the Pokémon franchise. Day 2 live stream of Japan's Pokémon TCG Champions League reveals selection of full art cards from upcoming Triplet Beat subset

A selection of new full art cards that will be released in Triplet Beat, the first Scarlet and Violet subset to be released in Japan on March 10th, were revealed earlier today as part of today's live stream for the Japanese Pokémon Trading Card Game Champion's League. All four cards revealed are alternative art prints of cards already revealed for the Triplet Beat subset.

Don't miss this month's celebration of Pokémon Masters Day in Pokémon Masters EX!

Pokémon Masters Day is here once again! This special Monthly Event, which first ran back in November 2021, currently runs every month in Pokémon Masters EX from the 24th at 10:00pm (PST), through to the 25th at 9:59pm (PST). All players who log in today will receive a special present of 500 gems from Pikachu, and have the opportunity to take advantage of special event and co-op battles. As always, several Sync Pairs are also receiving upgrades to their Sync Grids alongside this monthly event.

Live stream for Japan's Pokémon TCG Champions League reveals ex starter set featuring Pikachu and Pawmot, plus plushie Pikachu deck case

As part of today's live stream for the Japanese Pokémon Trading Card Game Champion's League, a new ex Starter Set based on Pikachu and Pawmot was announced for the first time. What arguably stole the show however wasn't reveals of new cards from this set, but the appearance of a unique new Pikachu plush deck case. The starter set and deck box will be released together in Japan on March 24th, and can be purchased either separately, for 1,800円 and 1595円 respectively, or together in a special bundle for 3,580円.

Pokémon Masters EX updates to Version 2.30.0 - Adds Trainer Lodge Redecoration, updates hatchable Pokémon - Official fan art contest now underway

A new updated for Pokémon Masters EX, Version 2.30.0, is now available to download. This update makes several changes to the Trainer Lodge, including the new redecoration feature originally announced in last month's message from the game's producers, as well as enabling players to invite Gloria to the lodge. In addition to this update, Pokémon Masters is also running a fanart campaign, looking for artwork recreating scenes from the game.

New Professor revealed for upcoming new Pokémon anime series, together with titles and descriptions for final Aim to be a Pokémon Master episodes

Friede (Japanese: フリード Furiido), a new Pokémon Professor who will feature in the upcoming new Pokémon anime series, was revealed after the Pokémon anime episode that aired earlier tonight in Japan, together with Captain Pikachu, his partner Pokémon. Titles and descriptions for the final four episodes of Ash and Pikachu's final chapter, Pocket Monsters: Aim to be a Pokémon Master, have also been formally announced in a Japanese press release, together with screenshots of scenes from each episode.

Catch Pikachu in 7-star Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet from February 24th

The Mouse Pokémon Pikachu will be making its first appearance in 7-star Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles for the weekend leading up to Pokémon Day, being available starting from February 24th at 00:00 (UTC), with raids running through until February 27th at 14:59 (UTC), 40 minutes after the Pokémon Presents presentation is expected to finish. At the time of writing, no follow-up appearance has been scheduled.

20 minute long Pokémon Presents presentation to be streamed on Pokémon Day, February 27th, from 6:00am (PST) / 2:00pm GMT / 11:00pm JST

As expected, the Pokémon Company has confirmed that a Pokémon Presents video will premiere on the official Pokémon YouTube channel this Pokémon Day, February 27th, at 6:00am (PST) / 2:00pm GMT / 11:00pm JST. The video will be approximately 20 minutes in length, which is 6 minutes longer than the presentation in 2022. The media alert states that "Fans can look forward to around 20 minutes of Pokémon news and join in the conversation online with #PokemonDay.", however it stops short of giving any specifics about what kinds of announcements we can expect.

Pokémon Masters EX continues its run of returning events in the lead-up to the game's 3.5 year anniversary, with the previously announced Poké Fair Scout for Marnie & Marpeko launching alongside a re-run of the Yell and Dream solo event. Official Japanese Pokémon TCG site and YouTube unveil cards for the Tinkaton evolution line, plus more upcoming cards in the Triplet Beat subset

A series of new videos on the Pokémon Trading Card Game's official Japanese YouTube channel this past week have revealed a range of new cards that will be released in Triplet Beat, the first Scarlet and Violet subset to be released in Japan later this year. The majority of these cards were added to the official Japanese homepage for the game in an update posted earlier. The latest update was released as we were in the process of preparing this round-up, with a video showing off the debut cards for Tinkatink, Tinkatuff, and Tinkaton.

Pokémon TCG partners with Japanese band Rhythmic Toy World for CHAMPION ROAD, a promotional music video in honour of the game's competitive players

The Japanese official Pokémon Card Channel on YouTube has released a new promotional video for the Pokémon Trading Card Game in collaboration with Japanese band Rhythmic Toy World. Written and composed by the band's lead vocalist Uchida Naotaka (内田直孝), 「CHAMPION ROAD」 portrays the hot-blooded story of a player aiming to become the champion, following their path from league play through to the Japanese Championships and on to Worlds.

Pokémon Masters EX launches celebrations for the run-up to its 3.5 year anniversary - Leon & Charizard return in Master Fair Scout

As announced yesterday, a range of scouts, events and bonuses are launching today in Pokémon Masters EX to celebrate the run-up to the game's 3.5 year anniversary. In addition to the previously announced Leon & Charizard Master Scout, and the re-run of the Champion Time story event, players can also challenge a new Extreme Battle Event. Returning players who've not logged in for 30 days or more will also be able to take advantage of a special Welcome Back Rally, including a selection of log-in bonuses and missions.

St. Baldrick’s Foundation's Catch a Million marathon returns for 2023, asking streamers to catch 1 million Pokémon to support kids cancer research

Between April 23rd and April 30th, St Baldrick's Foundation will once again be challenging the Pokémon streaming community to collectively catch 1 million Pokémon, and in the process help them raise $100,000 in 7 days to fund childhood cancer research. Any and all streamers, big or small, with any appreciation whatsoever for Pokémon, are invited to participate in the event and help the foundation reach its fundraising goal.
