Hello everyone,
I've been searching around the internet for information on a set of cards i received from a Japanese family friend when i was really young. I can't read any Japanese but i have heard the front of the card displays the pokemon's name and one of the pokemon's attacks. Across the bottom of the cards is text that says: "POCKET MONSTERS" and in the top left corner of the card is a "file Number" and the number of the pokemon. On the back are various stats and evolution chain of the pokemon. I'd really like to know ANY information at all about these cards! Thanks in advance

here is a video showing the cards ----> ‪RARE Pokemon Cards Japanese 1997‬‏ - YouTube

I don't know much about them. But they look like they came out after blue.

I also saw a few threads on this before.

EDIT: Found a few good links:

Apparently they were made by Bandai Carddass, a division that makes TCGs based off well known franchises and sells them through Vending Machines. They are mostly known for the Digimon and DBZ cards.

Thanks so much for the information.
Do you happen to know if they are worth anything?
i know the demand must be low but i just thought i'd check.

Full sets were going for about 400-500 bucks. So yeah, they are probably worth money on eBay, even though the demand is low, they are somewhat of collectors items due to the fact that they are both Pokemon and obscure. And as we all know, the more obscure = the higher the price.

Some of the rare cards sell for high prices too alone.
