2 New friends: Meloetta and Dawn - How will the chemistry be handled?

As many people noticed, the BW Trio has a perfect chemistry with each other, while the DP Trio was pretty poor.

Now, Dawn might be added as a main character for now again. Meloetta will also travel with Ash & Friends.

Will the chemistry stay the same or will it all be ruined now?
 
I just wanna see marketing whores(Piplup and Oshawott) fight:the group chemistry change doesn't matter since it's temporary.

Though I wanna see Cilan get into the Coordinator spirit, and have Stunfisk do a Double Performance with Palpitoad.

Funny, I noticed that none of the groups ever had that oh so awesome "chemistry", that the best group ever was the DP one, followed by the AG one and then the original one, with the BW group being the worst so far

Now, Dawn might be added as a main character for now again. Meloetta will also travel with Ash & Friends.

They're both just guest characters that will most likely be around for about 13 eps for the East Unova arc and that's it
It's no different than Bianca joining the group something, except that it'd be a little longer...
Though Meloetta has a tiny chance of being caught by Ash... but I doubt it

Dawn and Piplup will automatically make everything better like they did in DP
Iris and Cilan will get to see the extreme awesomeness of Dawn and Pip and might learn from them how to be better main characters in this show (though with their sidekick status, I guess that's impossible)
Pip should also give Axew some advice about being a good mascot
 
I just don't want Dawn to ruin the current Trio, which I'm afraid that she will...

The BW Trio is definitely the best one in my opinion, with DP Trio (if you even can call it a Trio...) being extremely bad and just... plain awful. With Dawn joining the group for a while I could definitely see either Iris or Dento being outshadowed, which would kinda destroy the Trio, and that I would not approve of at all. I prefer both Iris and Dento much more than Dawn, and would rather not have her appear if that's going to happen, but hopefully not.

I can't really comment on Meloetta joining the group again, but I'm not very excited about it. Hopefully Meloetta will prove to be a rather funny or interesting addition to the group (surely a better member than Dawn), but judging by what I've seen so far she's not very appealing, but I might just change opinion once it actually has had its debut. Still looking forward to its interactions with Ash, doubt that Ash will catch it though.

Oh, and Piplup... Stay away, just stay away as far as possible. Do that and Dawn might actually be a little bit more tolerable, but we'll see.

Ahaha... No. Please, don't let Piplup drag Axew down to his level, don't make me hate Axew too.

I agree, in DP, the trio chemistry was just awful, the writers gave Dawn far more focus than Ash, and Brock barely got any focus at all, in fact, Brock was just THERE, he didn't do ANYTHING at all, he caught only TWO Pokemon, both early in DP, and that was IT, the move the writers pulled with him becoming a doctor at the end of DP was probably for the better.

I'm not really sure how Meloetta is going to work out for the show, we KNOW Ash won't catch it, but we have no idea if Meloetta is going to be a permanent addition or just a two-three episode appearance

If anything, Dawn should be only in the series for about 2-3 episodes, making her a permanent companion would just bring out the apocalypse, and seeing Piplup and Oshawott together, no, just NO.
 
Veering a bit off topic, here. I can dig the parts about Hikari possibly upsetting the current trio's balance, but all the ranting/raving about the DP trio belongs in the main anime forum, in the respective thread.
 
Yeah, this is purely a Your Mileage May Vary scenario, because I think the BW trio is absolutely godawful. I'm not a huge fan of the DP trio either, but they didn't actively annoy me the way the BW trio does.

But to be fair, the BW trio annoys me because of two aspects: one is Iris. The second is Ash's regressed character development.

Add Dawn into this group, hopefully Iris won't drag her down like she drags everyone else down, drowns out her screentime, and I could easily see the group becoming much better,

I honestly can't see how the BW trio could get any worse than it is now, besides Piplup's presence. If Piplup hogs the spotlight in every episode and spends ALL of its time bickering with Oshawott (which will probably cause me to dislike Oshawott fully) over the Meloetta thing, then yes, it would be worse.

But Dawn herself, I only see good possibilities with. Really, the trio tends to benefit whenever someone hangs out with them for a while (most notably Bianca); I see no reason why Dawn can't do the same.

Since all we know about Meloetta so far is the TR plot to get her and the love triangle with the two overexposed water starters, that I do have concerns with. Hopefully that won't be all that Meloetta is about; otherwise that'll get old really fast and worsen this group.

But like I said, I already consider the BW trio terrible and annoying; they need all the help they can get. Any opportunity for someone else to come in and buffer what makes the BW trio a pain to watch, I would gladly take.
 
Dawn probably won't change the dynamics too much.
May didn't argue with Misty or Dawn. Dawn's not going to have any trouble fitting in this group. They're all nakama.
And besides, her role is temporary.

A part of me actually wants to see Piplup and Oshawott fight (and for Osha to win).
 
Dawn and Cilan may be BFFs while she and Iris may have a bitter sweet rivalry. If Dawn's presence is temporary, then I may have to continue going on hiatus until Iris' departure.
 
Ash and Dawn had great chemistry in the D/P series, hopefully that won't change. Only thing that might affect is Ash/Iris friendship, since Dawn/Ash friendship might get more screen time. Every thing else should be fine, I'm curious Meloetta with every one mostly Ash since shes crushing on him and all but yah. Only thing that brought down the D/P Chemistry was Brock, he was just thereXD
 
what chemistry?? If anything, they're not gonna stay for long. The chemistry with the BW trio already trumps the DP trio!!
 
Dawn and Cilan will hopefully have great chemistry. They're both sort of similar characters too.
 
Dawn & Iris might have a great Chemistry ! Since-
-Dawn is modern City Girl .
-Iris is wild village girl .
They are girl from 2 completely different world so their chemistry might something to see.
However , Writer can spice thing up and make the show more interest by add shipping into their chemistry !
Any other Good anime writer would do it and create mid rivalry between Dawn & Iris for Ash's affection.
That way , The show would be less boring .
But again , Pokemon Anime Writer & Director !
The only thing this guys are good at is to disappointing the fandom and make thing Boring !
 
This is not Shipper's Paradise and we certainly don't need a debate on whether the show needs more shipping.
 
That's perfect for a thread in Shipper's Paradise about whether or not the anime needs more shipping or not! Hell, I'll add that to my "threads to add list"!

Anyways, I think with Hikari, the BW trio might get more interesting. Or even more annoying.
