Pokémon Champions' first Online Competition has been announced. The sign-up period for the 2026 Global Challenge I runs from 24 April 2026 at 02:00 UTC to 4 May 2026 at 01:59 UTC, with the event itself running from 1 May at 02:00 UTC to 4 May at 01:59 UTC. The results and winning teams from this event will be found here on Bulbagarden once the event has concluded.

The 2026 Global Challenge I uses Pokémon Champions' upcoming Regulation Set M-A ruleset, on which details are currently not public. What we do know, however, is that it uses Double Battles, and Mega Evolutions will be the format's main mechanic. Judging from the official artwork for the 2026 Pokémon Japan Championships, Charizard, Raichu, Meganium, Feraligatr, Emboar, and Eternal Flower Floette will be available for use too, along with powerful Restricted Pokémon such as Mega Zygarde. An in-game announcement regarding details on the ruleset will be published shortly after Pokémon Champions releases.

For more Pokémon confirmed to appear in Pokémon Champions at launch, visit Bulbapedia's Pokémon Champions page.

A Venusaur will also be distributed to players that complete at least three battles, regardless of their outcomes.

Pokémon Champions' release date is currently unknown, with the only public information being that it will release sometime in April 2026. To keep an eye on news as it's released in the next month, make sure to keep an eye on Bulbagarden as we inform you on every new announcement!
