2027 Pokémon World Championships to be held in Singapore from 13–15 August 2027

At the 2026 Pokémon World Championships and PokémonXP's closing ceremony, it was confirmed that next year's 2027 Pokémon World Championships will be held in Singapore, at the Singapore EXPO in Tampines, from 13–15 August 2027. This is the first time that the Pokémon World Championships will take place outside of the United States since 2023, when the event was held in Yokohama, Japan.

The 2027 Pokémon World Championships being held in Southeast Asia is notable, since a lot of fans believe that the currently unnamed region seen in the first trailer for Pokémon Winds and Waves takes inspiration from various countries in Southeast Asia. The choice of venue could be an intentional decision to reference and promote the release of Pokémon Winds and Waves, also taking place in 2027.
