A Very Slow Discovery is coming to Pokémon GO on June 8 featuring three slow Pokémon

Pokémon GO's Season of Discovery will begin with A Very Slow Discovery event, featuring Slowpoke, and the debut of Galarian Slowpoke, Galarian Slowbro, and Mega Slowbro. Several other slow Pokémon will also be appearing during this event. The event will begin on June 8, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., and run through to June 13, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Slowpoke, Slakoth, Gulpin, and Spoink will be appearing more frequently in the wild, and Slowbro and Vigoroth may also appear. Galarian Slowpoke will also be making its Pokémon GO debut during the event. You can evolve it into Galarian Slowbro by catching 30 Poison-type Pokémon when it's your buddy. Galarian Slowpoke, Alolan Grimer, Shellder, Shinx, and Timburr will be appearing in one-star raids, while Snorlax, Slowking, Slaking, and Toxicroak will be appearing in three-star raids. Mega Slowbro will make its debut in Mega Raids.

Complete event-exclusive Field Research tasks which will give you some very slow rewards, and Mega Energy. A Slowpoke-themed Collection Challenge can be completed to get the exclusive Slowpoke Forever Shirt avatar item, 30 Ultra Balls, and 3,000 XP. Spin PokéStops and open Gifts to collect new Slowpoke-themed Gift stickers to send to your friends. Slowpoke-inspired avatar items will be available in the shop. Purchase an event-exclusive free box in the shop that’ll contain 20 Poké Balls, 10 Great Balls, and a King’s Rock.
