RP Everyone Cara Liss's notes - SUBJECT 583

MrVile.png
Day One

The composition is a success; once the subject awoke within the containment pen, it quickly established most basic motor functions to a useful degree and was capable of walking with a gait typical of humanoid forms.

However, I have reason to suspect that I have made a singular error in the process. The subject does not appear to have full facial functionality and seems only able to smile, constantly - it grins like a Galarian Meowth. I shall have to investigate the matter.

Day Three

Interesting behaviour has begun to emerge - the subject frequently gesticulates with its hands in a manner not un-reminiscent of one of its constituent species. However, while this progenitor was highly deliberate with its hand movements, the subject’s attempts seem more… eclectic. I cannot quite discern what shapes it may be attempting to create.

Day Seven

I sought to validate my previous assumptions and it appears that I was, in fact, incorrect in assuming my own incorrectness. The subject’s facial muscles are in perfect working order; it appears that it simply chooses to wear nothing other than a smile. I must have done something to raise its Happiness to the maximum!

Day Eleven

Though the subject still does nothing in the way of facial reaction other than grin widely, it is not to say that it is impossible to discern what it may be thinking. I believe it may be trying to make friends with another specimen in a separate containment pen; at times the subject appears to put on a kind of visual performance for its potential companion (the nearest think I could liken it to is some variant of a Teeter Dance).

Of all the test subjects in the lab, this one is the least belligerent I have thus far encountered and it seems perennially happy with life - I wonder what results a mutual introduction would yield?...

Day Twenty

I have struggled to write for some time - it has taken me longer than expected to regain my stomach after the events of the socialisation experiment. It appeared to start well enough; the secondary subject was introduced into the pen in increments, to seemingly little new or unusual reaction from the primary subject.

The secondary subject began to draw confidence from the omnipresent grin and amusing gesticulations of the creature and moved closer… then, faster than my eye could track and far faster than I could react, the primary subject reached out a taloned limb and [REDACTED BY THE GALARIAN CONSTABULARY IN THE NAME OF PUBLIC DECENCY]

The creature never stopped smiling once throughout the ordeal; I expect to see that rictus grin in my nightmares for some time long after the stains have been washed from the pen. I have never beheld natural behaviour so monstrous, shocking and, well…

Vile.
