Details released on Pokémon GO's Content Update for February 2022

Niantic has released details of Pokémon GO's monthly update for February 2022. These events are scheduled to take place between Tuesday, February 1st, at 1:00 p.m. PST to Tuesday, March 1st, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8).

February Research Breakthrough encounters
When seven days of Field Research tasks are completed, players will be able to encounter Espurr. Luckyt players may even encounter a Shiny Espurr, which makes it's Pokémon GO debut.

Pokémon Spotlight Hours
A different Pokémon and special bonus will be featured every Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time:

• February 1: Litleo | 2× XP for evolving Pokémon
• February 8: Spritzee | 2× Catch Stardust
• February 15: Koffing ⁂ | 2× Catch XP
• February 22: Voltorb ⁂ | 2× Catch Candy

Raids
Raid rotations all start and end at 10:00 a.m. local time, except as otherwise noted.

Featured Raid Pokémon
The following Pokémon will be appearing in raids throughout February 2022:

• February 1 - February 9: Regirock w/ Earthquake ⁂
• February 9 - February 16: Registeel w/ Zap Cannon ⁂
• February 16 - February 19: Normal Forme Deoxys ⁂
• February 19 - February 22: Attack Forme Deoxys ⁂
• February 22 - February 25: Defense Forme Deoxys ⁂
• February 25 - March 1 (excluding February 26): Speed Forme Deoxys ⁂

Tbe Shiny Deoxys Formes appearing in raid encounters between February 16th and March 1st are making their Pokémon GO debut this month. During this period, players will be able to receive up to two free Raid Passes per day from spinning Gym Photo Discs.

Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, and Ho-Oh will also be returning to five-star raids for Pokémon GO Tour: Johto on February 26. They may all be encountered in their Shiny variants. These raids will run from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. local time. Speed Forme Deoxys raids will be temporarily suspended during this period.

Raid Hours
Every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, the following Pokémon will be featured in a Raid Hour event:

• February 2: Regirock
• February 9: Registeel
• February 16: Normal Forme Deoxys
• February 23: Defense Forme Deoxys

Mega Raids
The following Mega-Evolved Pokémon will be appearing in Mega Raids:

• February 1 to February 15, 2022: Mega Houndoom ⁂
• February 15 to March 1, 2022: Mega Ampharos ⁂

Weekly 1 PokéCoin bundles
Every Monday in February, a one-time-purchase bundle containing a Remote Raid Pass and other items will be available in the shop for 1 PokéCoin.

Upcoming events
Several additional events were also announced for February. Stay tuned for details about these upcoming events.

• Lunar New Year: Ring in the Lunar New Year from February 1, 2022 to February 7, 2022
• Valentine's Day: From February 10, 2022, to February 14, 2022, Trainers can celebrate Valentine's Day with in-game events and activities. An evolutionary line of Fairy-type Pokémon will even make its Pokémon GO debut.
• February Community Day: On Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, a Community Day event featuring Hoppip, the Cottonweed Pokémon will take place, where Hoppip will be appearing more frequently in the wild. • GO Tour Johto Leadup Event: From February 18, 2022 to February 25, 2022, get ready for Pokémon GO Tour: Johto with a Poké Ball–focused event.
