Pokémon GO's Air Adventures collaboration finally gets off the ground this March; global collaboration event to come in May
Pikachu wearing an Okinawa kariyushi shirt will be appearing in the wild in Okinawa, Japan, starting from March 19th and will be available for over a year. Corsola will also be appearing in some areas, including Okinawa. Corsola is a regional-exclusive Pokémon and will not be appearing in Japan outside of this event. Both Pokémon may also appear in their Shiny variants.
In Okinawa, Trainers will be able to discover new PokéStops at Poké Lids (special Pokémon-themed maintenance-hole covers) and various Okinawan tourist sites. Gifts with in-game Postcard illustrations not available anywhere else will also be obtainable.
From May 3th to May 8th, Trainers all over the world will also be able to participate in a Pokémon Air Adventures collaboration event. During this global event, trainers in Okinawa will receive additional bonuses, with Flying Pikachu with differently colored balloons appearing in all areas of Okinawa during this period. A special ticketed event will also take place in Okinawa on the 7th and 8th of May. We'll update with more information on the global event once it becomes available.
