Ultra Unlock bonuses for Pokémon GO's Bug Out! and Galarian Zigzagoon Community Day events announced

After the joint success of Trainers in the Pokémon GO Fest 2022 Sapporo event and the global tie-in event of completing 30,000,000 Field Research tasks, the Ultra Unlock bonuses will now be available for the Bug Out! event and the Galarian Zigzagoon Community Day.

Bug Out! event
As previously announced, the Bug Out! event is returning to Pokémon GO starting August 10th at 10:00am local time, and will be running through to August 16th at 8:00pm local time.

As Ultra Unlock bonuses, Pansage will now be appearing in the wild and in raids, while Unown T will appear in Raid Battles. Shiny variants of both Pokémon can also be encountered. Additionally, Timed Research focused on catching Bug-type Pokémon will be available throughout the event. Trainers can complete research tasks to earn items, Pokémon encounters, and Scizor Mega Energy.

On top of the event bonuses previously reported, two additional event bonuses will now also be available:
  • Additional Candy for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws.
  • Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws.
The order that Pokémon will appear for the group bonuses has also had a minor change:
  • August 10th: Wurmple ⁂
  • August 11th: Caterpie ⁂
  • August 12th: Spinarak ⁂
  • August 13th: Kricketot ⁂
  • August 14th: Venipede ⁂
  • August 15th: Weedle ⁂
  • August 16th: Ledyba ⁂
August 2022 Community Day: Galarian Zigzagoon

The August 2022 Community Day will be taking place on August 13th, from 11:00am to 2:00pm local time.

In addition to the event bonuses previously reported, a further four bonuses will be active from 11:00am to 7:00pm local time:
  • 2× XP for catching Pokémon
  • 2× Candy for transferring Pokémon
  • Two additional Special Trades can be made during the event. This bonus stacks with the additional Special Trade bonus for the Season of GO, for a maximum of four Special Trades for the day.
  • Trades made during the event will require 75% less Stardust.
