Pokémon Masters EX updates to Version 2.42.0, with a profile revamp, new Lucky Skill Training Area, and the ability to unlock Sync Grid Energy Caps

Pokémon Masters EX - New Profile Feature Preview
Following on from yesterday's short message from the developers, a new version of Pokémon Masters EX, version 2.42.0, is now available to download. This update brings with it the promised major updates to the Profile Feature, along with quality of life changes to Lucky Skills, and the ability to unlock Energy caps for Sync Grids.

Update Summary
The full changelog from the Version 2.42.0 update can be read here. Below, we've summarized the more notable changes with this update. Except where otherwise noted, these updates should become available in-game immediately after the app is updated.

Lucky Skill Stock and Training Area
Starting from this update, Players will be able to stock an additional two Lucky Skills in addition to the equipped skill. Players will be able to freely swap between skills between battles.

From February 27th, at 10:00pm (PST), players will also be able to access a new Training Area where they can acquire Lucky Scrolls and Lucky Cookies.

Unlocking Sync Grid Energy Caps
Beginning with this update, Players will be able to further improve Sync Pairs by increasing each pair's cap for the number of Energy that can be used on their Sync Grid. Unlocking this Energy Cap is based on the individual sync pair's move level, and will require Co-op Sync Orbs.

Trainer Lodge Update
Skyla, the Gym Leader of Mistralton City, and a PML Leader of the Pokémon Masters League, will be available to be invited to the Trainer Lodge from February 29th, at 10:00pm (PST). To invite Skyla, players will need to have teamed up with 3★ Skyla & Swanna.

Profile Feature Updates
First announced back at the end of August last year, the 2.42.0 update is expanding customization options for players Profiles in a variety of ways, as well as adding new ways to interact with and search other players' profiles.

Photo Creator
The new Photo Creator feature will allow players to take snapshots of themselves with up to 3 Trainers that they've teamed up with in-game, which can then be displayed on players' profiles. The poses, expressions, and positions of each of the Trainers can be freely adjusted in order to take the perfect photo. Players will also be able to customize the photo with different Backgrounds, Frames, and effects.

The Photo Creator will allow players to save up to a maximum of 20 Photos with the Temp Save feature, so players will not need to finish their Photo creations in a single sitting. Players will also be able to save and load completed photos at will.

Titles and Hashtags
By satisfying particular criteria, players will be able to earn Titles which can be displayed at the top of their profile. The three types of Titles being added include:
  • Standard Titles
    • A set of titles which are always available, the requirements for which can be reviewed from the Title menu
  • Event Titles
    • Limited-Time titles which players will be able to earn from completing tasks related to events
  • Secret Titles
    • Titles with hidden criteria that players will need to discover - these criteria will apparently not be explicitly stated in-game even after a player has earned the title
In addition to Titles, Players will also be able to customize their Profiles with Hashtags. Unlike Titles, these will be available to all Players, and do not need to be earned. Two different types of Hashtags will be available:
  • Profile Hashtags
    • Hashtags for four preselected questions
  • Free Hashtags
    • Up to six Hashtags of the player's choosing from a set list
Search Updates and Profile Likes
Together with these cosmetic updates to the profile, Players will now be able to search for Friends by various Profile criteria, including the Trainers in their Photo. Players will also be able to use the new Random View feature to view other players' Profiles at random, applying these same filters to results.

Additionally, players will be able to add Likes to other Player's profiles. These can be sent from individual Profiles and from the Friend List, as well as other select locations in-game. Only one Like can be sent per day to each player, resetting at 10:00pm (PST) each day.

New data in the Adventure Log
Additional categories of data will now be recorded in players' Adventure Logs, including information relating to Titles, and newer game mods such as the High Score Event.

Edit Your Profile Special Missions
To celebrate this revamp, a new set of Special Missions are currently available, rewarding players with a total of 1,100 Gems for trying out each of these new functions. Several additional General missions are available, rewarding items such as Backgrounds for the photo creator based on players' completions of missions from the Main Story.

Upcoming Changes to Device Requirements
Starting on or around April 23rd, iOS 11 will no longer be supported by the Pokémon Masters EX app. Players will need to upgrade to a device running at least iOS 12.0 in order to continue playing past this date.
