3DS power button issue?

I noticed if I leave my 3DS off for any extended period of time... it takes two button presses to get the unit to power on. However if I turn it off and turn it on, it only takes one button press. Any ideas? I did a Google search and it seems that other people are having the same issue. I hope I don't have to get it repaired. :-(

Edit: The power button thing isn't a big deal, I just want to make sure it doesn't lead to serious problems in the future. ;-)

IDK, you might have to. I don't know of any fix other then to call Nintendo.

Try holding the button down. Kinda like an old computer.

Holding the button down doesn't work, either.

Mine does the same thing. It hasn't really been a problem yet, so I'm guessing that it's just a flaw in the design that was too hard/expensive to warrant fixing.

You might want to just hold on to it if you cannot be bothered to send it to Nintendo. It's pretty common.

Though, it apparently is a software issue - try updating to the latest firmware and see whether the Power button is more responsive. I can vouch for that.
