4/5 Through the elite four with a team of lvl 50's

Hi,
I just wanted to share a challenge that I am undertaking in my Pokemon Pearl game. This is my first time playing through this game and after working exhaustively to capture all of the pokemon in my Sinnoh Dex so that I wouldn't be behind upon getting the national dex- I discovered that Feebas woudldn't be available until I got the super rod and I was having no luck at getting Munchlax I decided to send my underleveled team against the elite four.

My team all started the battle against my rival outside the elite four chamber at level 50 except Staraptor who was 48 (they have since grown) but here are their stats

Here is how the battles went

Aaron:
This battle started out poorly with INfernape just barely ko'ing dustox and then getting whipped by beautifly. At this point, Empoleon stepped in and surfed it's way past beautifly. Drapion also presented some trouble but Heracross was a breeze with one fly from Staraptor then Vespiquen went toe to toe with my Luxray trading Cruches for Heal Orders and finally Aaron went down with three casualties on my side

Bertha:
Bertha was a breeze after healing up from the last battle I mistakenly had Empoleon first in my lineup when I knew she would start with Quagsire. Luckilly, All was not lost as Empoleon scored a critical hit on Quagsire. He then proceeded to sweep the rest of her pokemon. That was simple. Empoleon grew two levels and learned drill peck also.

Flint:
After giving Empoleon a Moo Moo Milk I moved on to Flint. He opened with Rapidash whose use of Sunny Day caused Empoleons water attacks to become blunted. When that one went down, He used Driffblim who I crippled with a spark from luxray which lead him to baton pass in favor of steelix. Steelix fell to a surf from empoleon and was replaced with infernape who alakazam destroyed. Lopunny was next and his charm really hurt luxray but in the end I prevailed because sunny day seemed to hurt his thunderpunches as much as it did my electric attacks. After that it was easy to finish off the already cripple Driffblim. This battle wasn't terribly hard.

Lucian:
At this point. I was seriously quite surprised that I had made it this far and I knew this would make or break a true shot at the elite four. Lucian's Mr. Mime didn't present much of a problem for Luxray's crunch but it did put up a light screen before it fell. Bronzong was a whole 'nother ballgame. He succeeded in knocking out three of my pokemon and it was only Empoleon's timely return by way of a max revive that kept my elite four dream going. After that Medicham fell to a psychic from my alakazam and my luxray crunched through his alakazam. Now I lick my wounds and prepare to face CYNTHIA.

Here's how the battle with Cynthia went.
She started with Spiritomb and I mirrored with Luxray. She started with EMbargo and through a bunch of crunches and sparks luxray took it down. he even survived a psychic. SHe then sent out Gastrodon and I mistakenly switched to Inrfernape. d'oh, I fixed that by switching to torterra and I mega drained gastrodon but it didnt' die in one hit. Cynthia blew one of her full restores on Gastrodon and I responded with another mega drain. It finally fell after cutting my hp in half with a muddy water which strangely did more damage than Earthquake. Next, she used Milotic who began with an Aqua Ring. I had switched to Luxray who cut her hp in half with spark but I paused the next turn to heal Luxray with a Max Potion. Cynthia Then swapped Milotic for Garchomp and I switched to Staraptor because I though he would use Earthquake. Starraptors fly attacks didn't do much and Garchomp Ko'd him with a dragon rush. I swapped in empoleon who ko'd him with an ice beam. She then sent out Lucario and I used Torterra. Lucario 'quaked me and I 'quaked him right back and Cynthia used another fullrestore on Lucario leaving her with 2. TOrterra then dispatched Lucario with ease and learned giga drain. Cynthia then sent out the already damaged Milotic who knocked out the already weakened Torterra. I responded with Luxray who destroyed Milotic. Cynthias last pokemon was Roserade and I sent out my original starter, Infernape who used two flame wheels to faint roserade.

I WON!!!!!

Umm, you don't have to catch all of the Sinnoh dex pokemon to get the National dex, you just have to see them.

I know that but as I said I wanted to not be too far behind on the Sinnoh dex once I get the national dex

First time through the league might seem a little easy but just wait till you get the Nat Dex cause all 4 get a 15-20 level jump so that would mean Cyn gets a 20-25 level jump
