4Kids Faces Financial Trouble...

Well crap, looks like Seto Kaiba IS the only one screwing the rules because he has money...=P
 
If they do get delisted, it will be one step closer to bringing more quality entertainment on television.
 
The company not only was involved with the anime originally, but was in the licensing end of it IYRC. Hence, I could not get a proper category, so it's here in the Pokemon Wold forum.
 
This is what happens when you cancel YGOTAS. They break you.

But I'm a bit depressed. I grew up with these guys.

What will Dan Green do now?

Their dubs are usually the reason people hate dubs, literally. Most people I've met that hate dubs bring up lots of shows that 4kids have dubbed. The original Pokémon, Dinosaur King, Yu-Gi-Oh, the Kirby anime (but I personally thought that dub was alright).

For me, it's not just this that brings me to hate 4kids, it's the fact that (probably) OTHER than Pokemon, they do not host ANY good shows.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: I will admit that it was one of their better shows, but it pales to live up to the quality of the original in my opinion. Not to mention it got treated with a crappy intro theme song and finally... They went to SPACE!

Winx Club: As good as any other girl-orientated animated show. That is: a pile of drama-filled, generic load of crap that... Well... You can really ONLY like it if you are a 6-4 year old girl. Simple.

Viva Pinata: An unfunny load of filth that really shouldn't even exist. Not to mention that the voice acting makes me want to kill myself a little.

Since 4Kids no longer has any dealings with Pokemon, I'm going to be move this. If a super-mod or admin disagrees, feel free to move it back.
 
When I was growing up, I watched the 4Kids dubs of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! I thought 4Kids were okay, until I read about them on Bulbapedia and the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia, on how they "ruined" the shows. All I can say is: I wouldn't care if 4Kids stayed or went.
 
I'm still waiting for the day that I hear the original Japanese Pokemon openings in the Dub and a dual audio track release in the DVD. >________>

In terms of pure dub script quality, I've always felt that 4k!ds did a better Pokemon dub, actually. But that is neither here nor there.
