4Kids in Best Stocks of Past 10 Years

Didn't Al Kahn say they were losing money, thus that's why they gave up Pokemon and stopped uncut DVD's????
 
That's growth over ten years. During that period 4Kids rose from nothing to its hayday. No doubt their stocks have taken recent hits but their property is still worth more than when they began dubbing Pokemon.
 
Eh, it doesn;t really matter.

I mean, it's not like the target audience invests in stocks, so it's doesn's judge their quality really.

And here I was hoping 4kids would go bankrupt.

Speaking of stocks, do you think 4Kids would allow someone like me to invest in their stock?


I'm just wondering, cause I think it might be fun to have stock (lol, I've never done that before). XD
 
Anyone can invest in stocks I believe, if you have the money.

However, you'll be supporting the enemy. XD

Alot of the stocks are probably by rich, shareholders though, who could care less about what show they are making kids watch.
 
Especially since I've heard rumours of them losing One Piece...

And GX may only last one more year...

Then, all they have is Bratz and...Kappa Mikey?
 
And they have Viva Pinata too. ^^

Nah, they've never been an enemy to me. XD

In fact, I've always liked the company 4Kids due to the fact that, at one point, I was watching 3 of their shows on Saturday mornings. XD


That, and of course, I like all their VAs. And I also like Norman and Michael, cause they're really great guys (and funny too). ^_^

But the target audience also doesn't care every time they slightly differ from the Japanese version. The people who invest in 4Kids stock must see something beneficial from it. Yes, money would be the key thing but they have to see quality to find it worthwhile.

And factors such as the rise of Pokémon must have helped them...
 
Also, 4Kids isn't just about the dubbing. They also sell products based on the shows they dub. So that probably helps their stocks.

And most shareholders don't give a damn about quality. They just care about the earnings reports that come out each quarter.
 
It's probably the people who make Bratz, and all the toys that are based off their shows (which I BARELY see oddly enough)

That's why I wish they released Uncut DVD's for the older fans (which sold well when they did, but they pulled them anyway). Then I wouldn't have a problem with 4kids really, as I could watch the show with English voices, but not kiddied down and ruined (I'm mainly referring to One Piece, WHICH DESERVES AN UNCUT!)

And SLIGHTLY Differ? Darling, I'll give you their Pokemon Dub, but no way is the One Piece dub or even the Yugioh Dub SLIGHTLY differing.

No. 4Kids has never been losing money...they've always managed to break even and then some. What's gone down in the past number of years are the profits they're making...that is, they're still making money off of everything they do, but the amount of money they're making has been steadily decreasing over the past half decade.

As for the uncut DVD's...they most likely stopped releasing them because a) there was too much work involved in doing a redub from the ground up (like what they had to do with Yu-Gi-Oh! and Shaman King), and b) the sales weren't good enough. While the uncut DVD's did sell better than the censored ones released at the time, 4Kids probably had no plans to continue releasing uncut DVD's unless the sales were PHENOMENAL.

I haven't heard that. Last I heard, their rights wouldn't even have to be renewed until 2010.
 
Ah, well damn then.'

Guess a Yugioh Uncut and One Piece Uncut won't be happening anytime soon...-_-

No, Kappa Mikey only uses their voice actors to parody animé.
