As in title.
I decided to try to improve my writing efficiency. I only have very limited energy to write, so i want to be able to do it more fluently, wasting less energy.
I generate 10 random words, give myself 5 minutes to write about the first scenario that comes to mind, and use as much of the words as possible. Then i give myself around 10 minutes at most to fix typos/obvious mistakes.
I also want to get re-used to writing in english directly, i have a tendency to make chaotic notes in 2+ languages, and then translating it and organizing is a PITA. Why don't i write in my native langauge? No one would read that lol
anyway, feel free to roast those sa much as you want, because i am doing this for technical improvement.
Warnings, if any, will be before each fic/story

Title: Umbrella
Warnings: None
Characters: Spinel & Amethio
“How boorish of you” Said Spinel looking at Amethio, who was struggling with his umbrella, and splattering water all around him.

“Spinel. You never know when to shut up, do you?” growled Amethio.

“Oh my, you temper is flaring up today…”

“Because you’re deliberately provoking me. Again. How about you help me repair this piece of junk so we can get out of here?”

They were standing under a bus stop. The rain was falling so hard, it felt as if it was about to deprive both of them of air.

Spinel took out a miniature tool box, seemingly out of nowhere.

“Fine, give it to me. The sooner we get out of here, the better.” he said.

Amethio handed Spinel the umbrella, and thought to himself: “Spinel sure has some weird hobbies...carrying this thing in his pocket.”

Amethio’s eyes dulled, as he was looking into the rain, waiting and...wondering whether there is some nutritious curry waiting for them back at the base.

“Done” said Spinel, and the umbrella expanded, as if it was a protective Corviknight’s wings.

Today's score: 9/10

“You look very alluring tonight.” purred Spinel. He was dressed in a dapper suit himself.

Chalce gave him a cold look. She knew that the dress she chose suited her well. She did not need his “compliments”.

“Only tonight?” She said, while looking at her wine glass, observing how the chandeliers’ warm light bounced around on the liquids surface.

“It’s not like you to take offense…” Spinel smirked.

Chalce did not answer. They were only using each other. She did not feel like encouraging Spinel’s attempts to manipulate her. They were here for a reason, not for idle banter. This investor dinner could be key to receiving more funding for their operations. And they needed as much funding as possible.

Money. As always, everything revolved around money.

Spinel moved closer to Chalce, and whispered into her ear:

“Did you delete that data we were talking about?”

“Who do you take me for?” Chalce sighed.

“I deleted it securely, nothing should be retained. I wiped their backups too.”

Chalce went through a long journey to get to where she was right now. She did not intend to back off this late into the game.

“This precious fax machine has broken!” Lamented Zir.
Amethio rolled his eyes.
“Please do remind me why you insist on using technology out of the stone age when we have holographic communicators instead.” he said with a deadpan stare.
“We’re not on the clock right now, Amethio. We can use whatever we want for our messages!” Zir replied.
“That’s even more reason to quit right now and not use this huge piece of junk.” Amethio started tapping his foot impatiently.
“But we need to do something to soothe Hamber’s mood. He was feeling so down lately...Surely when we send him a cute letter through fax we will be able to cheer him up!” Zir explained.
“So...you assume that just because he’s old, he enjoys obsolete methods of communication? Sounds ageist.” Amethio mocked.
“That’s pure fax and logic.” Conia nodded knowingly.
“No, I remember Hamber telling me nostalgic tales about his steamy epistolary exchanges with Diana, back in the day...”
“Zir, I am surprised you know such a word as “epistolary.”” Amethio smirked.
“Amethio, don’t be too mean to him. He’s perfectly capable of embarrassing himself...by himself.” Conia laughed.
“I promise, I’ll just do one thing here and from now it’ll be all smooth sailing.” Zir whispered and started doing something by the machine’s power cord.
“Zir, it’s dangerous to put your screwdriver right into the electric socket!” cried Conia.
“I saw Spinel doing this all the time, and he’s fine!” retorted Zir, while still bent over the power outlet.
“First of all, he definitely does not do that kind of thing. Second of all, you’re not Spinel. Third of all no, Spinel’s not fine.” Amethio frowned and crossed his arms.
“He looks fine though….even though he is a total asshole.” said Conia, dreamy-eyed.
“We all seem to be talking about different meanings of the word “fine.” Amethio grumbled
Zir, who had already zoned out of the conversation, bolted.
“What? Who wants to fine me? Have I committed a crime?!” Zir yelled.
Amethio raised his eyebrows at his subordinate, and after a moment of pause he said:
“Zir. Yes. We all have. we’re breaking and entering in a technology museum right now.”

bread and wings
Title: Bread and wings
Characters: Pokemon of the Rising Volt Tacklers

I managed to make this one exactly 500 words.

It was a nice day on the beach, the Rising Volt Tacklers finally had some time off from saving the world and all that stuff, so they decided to go to the beach again.
The humans were all off swimming in the sea or dozing in lounge chairs.
The Pokémon were all playing a somewhat unusal format of volleyball together. Mewoscarada’s team was winning, as the cat opted for using her strings to control the ball… Quaquaval’s group wasn’t far behind, the dancer’s nimble legwork and subsequent ball tricks were quite spectacular. Most of the Pokémon were mostly just cheering, rather than contributing much to the game. Captain Pikachu was content with the role of the judge.

The game was abruptly interrupted by an almost deafening cry of a huge flock of Wingulls.
The birds sat down on the field and started to peck at the ball. Meowscarada meowed in a warning, but the Wingulls thought nothing of it. Quaquaval gestured towards the flock and quacked at them, in hope that the fellow birds will understand, but to no avail. The Wingulls kept pecking, the destruction of the ball was imminent.
Skeledirge used his singing flame to distract the gulls for a moment, and the rest of the Pokémon gathered around to convene on what to do next.
Lycanroc barked in a long monologue.
“Pika.” Said Cap. Everyone agreed.
The Pokémon dispersed to execute the plan.

Lycanroc ran up to Murdock, who was sitting under an umbrella, sipping a drink, which also had an umbrella in it.
“Huh? What is it? Is something wrong?” Murdock asked
Lycanroc started barking, running around and pantomiming. Alcremie joined in the attempt to convey what needed to be done.
“I see. You need me to whip up a huge amount of bread.” Murdock nodded.
Lycanroc and Alcremie jumped up in joy.
They quickly got to work.

In the meantime, Meowscarada, Quaquaval and Skeledirge were distracting the Wingulls with their moves, who acted as if they were addicted to the ball at this point. The Tandemaus sneakily carried the ball away, into the shadow of an umbrella, to keep it safe for a while. Tinkaton positioned herself strategically to intercept any stray birds coming in this direction. Gholdengo created a bunch of shiny coins, in hopes that the Wingulls would be satisfied with them. Pawmi stopped Gholdengo from throwing around too much gold. What if the Wingulls hurt their beaks on the hard metal?

Then, Lycanroc rushed back into the scene, carrying a basket of fresh bread. Meowscarada used her threads to cut the bread in smaller pieces, and everyone created a trail of crumbs to guide the gulls away from the volleyball court.
The Wingulls were gullible enough to get caught by this scheme… But a new threat arose.
Some of the thread disappeared...down Pawmi’s throat. The bread tasted godly. Tinkaton reprimanded it, and the plan could continue. The Wingulls all settled down to nap and digest their meal. The game could resume.
