A (Belated) Intro for the Pokemon Horizons Fanboy

Wow... I meant to do this awhile ago... but I forgot... Hello. I'm da man/man (if you didn't peep my username), my first introduction to Pokemon was the AG Anime (and even as a tiny tot I KNEW May sucked), and the X&Y games. I've watch all of the Ashime (barring a few movies), and basically live and breathe Pokemon lol. I started seriously drawing 3-4 years ago, and then Pokemon Horizons started (2 years ago now wow), and I've been invested ever since! Let's see if you can guess who my favorite character is XD. In Summary: I'm a silly little guy, who draws silly little pixel art, plays silly little games, and watches silly little shows. (I know I've been here for 2+ weeks but I figured I should do this and don't want to cram all this on my About Me page XD)

I'm kinda baffled why you would think May "sucked," in the other thread I thought you were just talking about aspects of the grand festival that could have been better. That's strange, why would you dislike her if she was the first series you saw? What didn't you like?

Spoiler: Somewhat Long Response

When I initially watched AG as a child, I didn't finish it (it was on a limited time showing so I didn't get to), so I eventually had to come back and rewatch it. So when I first started and didn't like May as a kid, that impression stuck with me, and carried over, so I still don't like her very much compared to Ash's other travelling companions. Just because I didn't like May, didn't mean I would neglect any sort of big moments she had, which is why I discussed how I thought the Grand Festivals could have been done a little better, because I wasn't fond of them. I omitted that I didn't like May because it wasn't relevant to talking about how the Grand Festival in particular could've been done better. As a kid I did get to finish DP and I genuinely enjoyed it much more, even if I was more familiar with Pokemon as a series. May (or AG as a whole imo) walked so Dawn (DP) could run imo, as many of the actual problems I had with May's battles I didn't have with Dawn's. I just feel like AG doesn't hold up as well as others, even if it was my introduction, doesn't mean the nostalgia will make me not acknowledge it's shortcomings, and honestly as a kid (and upon rewatch) I just genuinely enjoy DP, and Dawn's contests more than AG's, and I just overall don't like May as a character. (Also while I have no issue discussing my opinions on a character/series, but is the intro page really the place to ask this?)
