Okay. So a quick background. This story follows Red, who we all know and love. Basically he is starting a new journey in a region away from Kanto/Johto. Hopefully this is another region we all know and love. Hint hint: A lot of people want remakes of the games that this region was based in. So thanks for reading and enjoy!
Prologue
Mt.Silver. The highest point in both Kanto and Johto (The mountain spreaded between both regions) the blizzard blew, and atop were possibly the two greatest trainers of all time...
"Exbo, Flame Wheel!" Gold shouted to his trusty Typhlosion.
"Pikachu, dodge, then Quick Attack!"
Both trainers were down to their last pokemon. Which were both their first ever pokemon. Gold had just defeated both the Johto & Kanto league. He then hunted down the Kanto champion, Red. He found him atop Mt. Silver, hence battling him now. Red had come up here to train his pokemon, a harsh place, but they were used to it. After all, they had been here almost a year.
The small electric mouse jumped out the way of the Typhlosion who had curled into a ball of fire. The Pikachu then charged into the back of it dealing moderate damage. Both pokemon were tired. The Typhlosion (or Exbo) then fell but got back up, but it was covered in a red color, not unlike the beam of a pokeball. Red recognised this as Typhlosiobs ability, which was the same as his Charizard. Blaze. It made fire-type moves stronger when that certain pokemon was low on HP.
"Let's finish this! Typhlosion! Inferno!" Gold shouted as though he had it all planned out. Red stood shocked, this battle was the best he had ever had. He didnt order Pikachu, he had no idea of what Inferno actually was. A huge beam of blue fire exploded from Typhlosion's mouth, engulfing Pikachu, making it faint. Red returned the pokemon.
"Well done buddy. You did perfect." Gold did the same with his pokemon. Red had no idea what to say. Gold was powerful, he had a great bond with his pokemon. "Well done Gold," Red said shaking his hand. And somehow Red wasnt even upset. "Or should I say 'Champion?'" He said with a chuckle.
Gold smiled. "It was an honor Red,"
"But Gold, promise me one thing."
"Huh?"
"Do not do the same mistake as I8 did. Stay in Kanto or Johto, your choice. Your pokemon are the strongest I have ever faced. And I have faced a lot of stong ones!"
"I wont. I promise. So now what?"
"Well, you need to go to Lance, and announce that you beat me!" Red replied.
"No. I mean you. What will you do?"
"Well, i've been thinking Gold. Im bored of being strong. I... I need to start fresh."
Gold just stood there bewildered. "Start fresh? Everyone knows you, you cant just 'Start fresh!'"
"I know. But I want a new challenge. People don't know me accross seas."
"Are you mental? Accross seas?!"
Red laughed. "Yep, ima go back to Pallet and tell my Mother, the Professor. And an old friend!"
"So I guess this is goodbye?"
"Till next time, friend." And with that, red brought out and healed his charizard and flew of the mountain, Gold thenfollowing, they parted ways. Possibly to never see each other again.
