Hey Guy and Gals,

I would love to see Nintendo and The Pokemon Company take the 5 regions thus far and create a Console game that would take a player through all of them (I.E. Kanto to Jotho to Hoenn (Sp.) to Sinjoh (Sp.) to Univo (Sp.)) in one story mode. The level growth of the players pokemon is and always will be the biggest issues with a game like this, so my solution would be that after each region (Generation) the number of levle 50+ pokemon u can use increases so in Kanto u can't use any but after u finish Kanto u can have at least one in ur team thus eliminating the steam role effect of ur team on trainers but the Gym Leaders, Elite Four and Champion's pokemon level would increase to be near to 10 level above ur level 50+ pokemon thus the type match ups come more of a stratgy in completing the game since then the player still has a chance at gyms. Then once u complete the story mode u get the option to redo it over again but kep all the pokemon u caught/trained so it has a replay value in it but has same set level 50+ team set-up so it make's it harder to do as the gym leaders, elite four and champion's skill increase each replay u do.

If I remember correctly, when interviewed by Official Nintendo Magazine (UK), Junichi Masuda said that he plans for the mainseries to stay on handhelds.

To be honest though, if one was to ever happen, rather than having five (or more) regions squashed together I'd prefer to have one single, huge region that takes up all of the vast space the Wii U can give. Imagine the possibilities that wouldn't be viable on a current handheld!

An all-regions console game of Pokemon exists only in the minds of fans because that'll never happen due to memory space issues.

If they were to change their minds and have one for the Wii U, then they could simply feature a little bit of each region as opposed to featuring the entirety of each.

They could just use key places/landmarks and areas that are memorable from Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh/Unova. Fusing them into one coherent region.

Though this isn't likely to ever happen lol Its a cool idea I think, but only something they would do on a final game or something as a sendoff.

I don't think that would actually be a problem on a console, tbh.

Either way if they were going to make a console game I'd want them to make a game different than the basic Pokemon games because, well...they have the technology, why waste it on the simplistic main games that exist now? I would much prefer they use consoles to experiment with innovative spin-offs.

Blu-Ray says hai.

It probably won't happen, because after all, GameFreak would rather make portable games every other year, with spinoffs to fill the gap

The closest we can get is Colosseum and XD, both console style RPGs that are closer to other RPGs, with overworlds and more plot.

There is also PMD for the Wii.

While I would purchase it, I think alot of that special feeling I get while playing Pokemon is beacause it's a handheld. Some games are just better on certain systems.

i have a friend and he has the same idea

ive always wanted this but including Orange Islands, Orre, mystery dungeons, all other side game areas, and I wanted battle fronteirs and Contests to be bigger

I agree if they were to make a console game one huge region would be more realistic. Although it's not likely they will make a main series Pokemon game on console.

However I also don't really mind at all if they didn't make such a game simply because I love playing them on handheld. Also the merits of the main series games being on handheld are the fact that you can carry it with you where ever you go and connect online on the go.

The sheer convenience of the games being on hand has made them that more special since the beginning.

I'd much rather a new side game like XD. And it would be awsome if the pokemon were proportional to their trainers.

The Orange islands and Orre, maybe, but not the mystery dungeons, because no humans are there

i have always wanted this kinda game, but because I'm selfish and a gen I snob, i would only want it to be gens I (and MAYBE gen II) involved. If they did create a new game, however, I think they should/would leave unova out, since it is supposed to be far far away. maybe add in the orange islands. its a great excuse to put a bunch of shinies into the game!

Thanks Guys and Gals for ur input I agree that the play anywhere idea rocks but due to hand held console technology right now it would be hard to fit a file of this size on it, well unless Steev Jobs was still with us and get into Nintendo R&D devision to help them out. I loved the way in Gen II u could face an Ash NPC after u defeat the game it be cool to see how The Pokemon Company would of saw the different pokemon Ash would have gotten through his journey through each region.

Well remember that it wasn't Ash, it was Red; Red's team was made up of Pokémon the player would receive in Pokémon Yellow (The PC is given the starters, catches Snorlax as an obstacle, is given Eevee in Celadon - and in HGSS when he uses Lapras, it could be the one he got in Silph Co.) or thinking about it from the RGB standpoint, Pikachu comes from being the franchise mascot. But yeah, facing the game's previous protagonist was a pretty cool idea. I guess that's because GSC was more of a direct sequel to RBGY than the other games have been to each other. Hopefully is Gen VI is Gen V's "Gen II" then we'll be able to battle Hilbert (or Hilda).

As for Steve Jobs, I don't think he had any experience with making dedicated video game platforms or video games. Personally though, I wouldn't be keen on an overpriced iGameboy.

I wouldn't mean for Steve Jobs to create the video games more as Steve Jobs to take the DS system and get more memory on it like on the Iphone or Ipad has, both hand held devices but u can fit a ton of stuff on them without any issues with the system response.

actually, you could probably fit more memory onto a 3ds since you can just swap out the sd card for a larger one q:

it's not just that simple, look at all the smart phones out there, their app games have graphics that can rival to console games ones because it's the BASE units memory that allows it to be that good not the SD card's think before u post.

wasn't tryin to attack you (sorry if it seemed that way), just pointing out something that i thought. ur right, i probably don't understand the types of memory, but whatever memory currently on the 3ds doesn't seem to be interfering with its overall performance. overall i wouldn't imagine that an all reigon handheld game is currently not possible, but it would probably have to come at the cost of cutting a lot of other in-game features that we currently have.
