I would love to suggest to game freak to make a pokemon game where you can choose the region to start with. And where you can catch or obtain every pokemon, without trade evolutions (I find that stupid, it doesn't make sense to me that a pokemon evolves while being traded, pokemon should only evolve by levels or eventually by stones.) And in this game there shouldn't be alowed to catch unique legendaries. It also doesn' make sense. It is not fari to have the same possibility to catch a Rattata at lv. 2 and Arceus (the poke God) at Lv. 80 with Master ball.

This game game should be based more on anime.

Does anyone support it? If you do I will for sure contact Game freak and Nintendo about this I promise, even if I will have to go to Japan:ksmile:

There's so much wrong with that.

You already can choose a region to start with. You can choose to play Gen IV and start in Sinnoh, you can play Gen III and start in Hoenn, etc.

I want to catch my fucking legendaries. They're not necessarily unique, just legendary.

Masterballs catch without fail, it is true. That's why you only get one of them per game!

The anime is so full of fail. Making anything based more on it then it already is would be a terrible idea.

So no, I don't support it.

What kind of game would I like? GTA Pokemon. Enough said.

a pokemon game where you can choose the region to start with.
Even setting aside whether that's a good idea or not, I don't think that's even practical to program. Is there even room for all four (more if you count side games) regions on a DS cart? Remember, a lot of things had to be cut out of the original Gold and Silver's Kanto just because there wasn't enough room for them.

And where you can catch or obtain every pokemon, without trade evolutions (I find that stupid, it doesn't make sense to me that a pokemon evolves while being traded, pokemon should only evolve by levels or eventually by stones.)
One of the core ideas in Satoshi Tajiri's original vision of Pokémon is trading. Trading is supposed to encourage you to make friends and meet other players of the game, and evolve-by-trade and version exclusives reinforce this. Game Freak would never go for a tradingless game, the link cable was one of the inspirations for Pokémon for crying out loud.

And in this game there shouldn't be alowed to catch unique legendaries. It also doesn' make sense.
How doesn't it make sense? Refer to my "trading" argument.

It is not fari to have the same possibility to catch a Rattata at lv. 2 and Arceus (the poke God) at Lv. 80 with Master ball.
That's why you don't waste your Master Ball on Rattata. ;)

How, exactly? What part of the game don't you like that you think the anime does better? Not that this would fly anyways... the anime hasn't significantly influcenced the games at all except for Yellow Version, and that was a good ten years ago...

^I think it's possible to release a new version of the chip, then upgrade drivers/firmware.

Tredes shoud be included. I like trading too. But just without trade evolutions. (I once wanted a Machamp, and when I traded my machoke with my "friend" he didn't want to give it back after it has evolved. That's why I don't like trede evolutions.)

About the regions, I mean a a single game where you can choose the region to start with, and after you complete it, chose another one. etc.

And about being based on anime, the regions should have more towns, and some side quests. In anime Pokemon don't evolve by trades, or by a specific item. (Why don't they make a Magmar evolve with Fire stone, and Haunter at lv.45 for example)

Trades should be only for trading pokemon with your friends. (If your friend can't catch a pokemon in that game, and you aleady have, you trade.
Trading because one pokemon is not obtainable in a specific version. Not good.)

Every pokemon should be obtainable in this game.

If this game is too much for DS, then they should make t for another system.

I really agree about stopping the trade evolutions. Pokemon should really just evolve by level or by stones. And I'd love to have all pokemon in one game for once.

I know all the trading is because of trading with your friends and stuff and you can trade pokemon with wifi, but....it may sound pathetic, but I don't have friends who own a DS XD. And wifi isn't a possibility either, because our router isn't compatible...

Some side quests in the game would be fun too!

Not much of a friend is he? With trade evo's, you got to have people you can trust. It's pretty obvious that if something like this happens, you can't trust the person and therefore they aren't friend material.

I agree it would be nice to visit all 4 reigions in one game but i doubt there is enough room on 1 DS cart. Also by the time you got to the 3rd reigion chances are your netire party would be lv 100 making the rest of the game pretty easy. Also i don't agree with you about legendarys as all it would do is boost sales of Action Replay as people want their legendarys, also how are you supposed to complete the pokedex without the legendary's? Also trade eveolutions will not be removed they can be annoying sometimes expecially if you cannot find a kings rock for example, but they have been part of the games since Gen I.

I bet almost everyone on this forum gets that idea. I've had it. The only way to stop the player ploughing through the 3rd region, creaming every trainer and gym leader would be to force them to deposit all their Pokémon and give them a new starter that comes from the region they're about to travel. And I sure as hell would not like to ditch my team like that. Unless they raise the level cap or something, I don't know. But one thing I wouldn't understand. Say you beat the Pokémon League in... Kanto? Your teams' levels are something around 60-70. You decide to go to Johto, and all random trainer encounters, and gym leaders happen to be around that level. But how can beginning trainers be that high of a level? What if some kid started their journey in that region, wouldn't they be destroyed by Pokémon that are level 60+?
I hope that wasn't too complicated...

And I forgoet to mention....In this game, when you complete Kanto for example, you won't be able to use your cought pokemon in Johto till the Elite Four.
With every region you would start anew.Or better yet, pokemon league should be made like a tournament and the winner (which would be the player) can challenge the region E4, like in anime.

Thanks to those who support my idea about trade evos.

I know it would be too much for a Ds cart, but it would be nice, if they develop a console similar to DS where such a game would be possible...:)

You can't blame for having such, (ridiculus) ideas...I just love pokemon.

Naaaah. Unless you win the lotto-thing, then you have one MORE Master ball :D

Also how on earth would a GTA-style Pokémon game work?

"BITCH GIMME YOUR POKÉ BALLS OR I'MMA PUT A CAP IN YO ASS"

...Yeah I know they don't talk like that, but that's the first thing that came into my mind.

I actually won the lotto-thing once. It was awesome. Used the Master Ball on a shiny Beldum.

Just think of a pokemon with a GTA-like engine, but instead of using weapons you have pokeballs around your belt. You can send out Charizard and have him blow up a car with fireblast or something. Try to tell me you don't think that would be awesome.

You got me totally wrong...But doesn't matter...I have realised that this is not possible, unless a new console is developt.....:(

Yeah GTA pokemon would be funny but then it would be named

GPT (Grand Pokemon Theft)...:D

couldn't he just trade you another machoke?and trade evolutions need to stay,i love having a lv.16 alakazam, and they can't stop trade evolutions, becuse if they said"machoke evolves into machamp at lv.36" too many people would use older games to get lv.22 or so machamps, plus people can play the game with the region they want,it would take a prettuy big game cart to store all that data

Ok Ok You don't have to say anything anymore. My Idea was stupid and over. I get it.

Well... you created a thread about your idea, didn't you? And isn't a thread supposed to hold discussions of some sort? It's okay for people to still talk about it, whether it's a stupid idea or not. To be honest, I don't think it's stupid.

It is possible, but it would have to be done on the Wii with DS graphics.

That's just a lousy friend, then. :p Try not to let that colour your opinion of trades... just that "friend" DX

You know what a cool idea would be? A wii game. An online pokemon Wii game. Like an MMORPG. But not stupid as hell like most of the other ones. They could release a Hard Drive for the Wii, just so they could add more content in updates and the Wii could still play it.

It could have you choose your starting region or something (starting with only two possible I guess) and then you could run around being awesome with your friends. They could have a trainer clothes and everything! They could do it based on friend codes, you have someones friend code, they show up in your game when you're both playing. So we don't have cities full of noobish idiots and not everyone is running around looking for the same Pokemon (The spear pillar/torn world scene would never be as good with 50 million people running around). But they could also have areas that more people show up in that you could trade records with, like a lobby area maybe, that encompasses a certain amount of space where Pokemon can be caught and battles could take place and stuff. The lobby could either be in the menu at the beginning of the game (along with Continue, Save, Options) or in the pokecenters basement.
And you could be able to trade over Pokemon from the current gen games when you reach a certain point. But maybe certain Pokemon wouldn't be able to enter the Lobby area.

Or, or, maybe just a certain set of servers to fix the over abundance of trainers problem, like maybe every region could be a different server and they could have a few so they don't get all super crowded. But then legendaries would wind up being a no go on trading into the games. Then the lobby and the other ideas would be put together and your friend code list would become a friend list of sorts that would let you see who's online and who's available for adventures. Maybe in certain scenes and areas only buddies would appear.

And as the game progresses on, the developers could release updates including new Pokemon and islands and features and stuff. And you could leave all your Pokemon in the box when you go to another region and then get the ability to pull them back out after getting a certain distance in.

Then again this could just be me messing around with ideas, again. :/

I like the idea of an online game but i do not think nintendo could acomplish that on the wii without ruining the game. The PS3, 360 and PC could do it but i doubt that is going to happen. Its a shame though as making a pokemon pc game would allow them to do more especially with the graphics and size of the game that they cannot on the wii or the DS.
