Hi everyone,

For those that haven't seen evkl's latest announcement, I'm Bulbagarden's first Director of User Experience. It's my job to ensure everyone is having a good time on here. A big part of that will involve my e-mail address (musashi (at) bulbagarden (dot) net). Here's when to use it.


1. Immediate assistance

The first, and most important, is an instant help service. If there's something that you feels needs immediate staff attention, please e-mail me and I'll try and get back to you right away. You should still report regular problems with the report button, but if you feel there's truly an emergency that needs the staff's immediate attention, (such as a suicide threat) please let me know.


2. BulbaAnnouncements

The staff knows that not everyone reads all the announcements and stickies we have. Some aren't as important as others and may not apply to you. But there are times where something big like a rule change is announced, and we obviously want everybody to read it.

To try and ensure people are able to be informed when any new major announcements come out, I'd like to announce the start of BulbaAnnouncements. This is a mailing list where you'll be the first to know of any major announcements such as rule changes or major forum downtime. Unlike other types of mailing lists, we wont be bombarding you with lots of e-mails. They'll only be sent out when something very important happens.

If you want to sign up, shoot me an e-mail and you'll be all set.


3. Suggestions on how to make Bulbagarden a better place

My entire job is about you guys and making your experience on Bulbagarden more enjoyable. So if you have any thoughts or ideas on how to make it better, let me know! I'm always open to any suggestions you guys have.

I really like the idea of a email list for major announcements.
 
How would I go about reporting a technical problem?

You have several options. You could email Musashi, PM a staff member (in the case of technical errors, preferably an admin), or create a thread in the Help Desk to let us know about the problem.
 
This thread isn't really relevant anymore so I'll close it.
