1) Most of my blog comments end up needing to be approved, even though the blogs I commented on hadn't enabled that setting. They usually show up a few hours later, but it's been happening to me for a while now.

2) Clicking the button to edit my post usually opens up a Quick Reply-esque box that doesn't leave the thread; other times, it redirects to the Advanced Settings box, so there seems to an inconsistency there.

3) Trying to access my latest posts or started threads leads me to an error page.

4) Minor cosmetic issue: the "Reply to Thread" button at the bottom of every thread is eclipsed by the Facebook like button.

I'm using Chrome, Windows 8 and the Beast of the Sea skin (although the issues seem to persist on every skin). I've tried clearing my cookies and cache but it didn't seem to help unfortunately.

If I may add to this list, when I try to browse through forum posts, mine and others, I get this message:

vBulletin Message
connection to 10.16.28.132:9312 failed (errno=111, msg=Connection refused)

Just to be safe, I used Chrome, IE and Firefox. No matter which web browser I used, that message was there to greet me.

This is a known problem. Not sure if this will fix, but it has for some where the problem has been a "stuck" setting (ie. showing as off in your settings where in reality it's on). Turn on the setting, save that setting, then come back and disable the setting.

Cannot replicate here. Not sure what's causing it.

What error do you get?

What is your resolution? This is not an issue for any of us, so it's likely something with your setup. May have to find some way to alter the layout so it won't appear in whatever circumstances you have there.

You're not always getting this, are you? That's the server having problems connecting to the mySQL database.

I've been checking it sporadically, so I can't give you an accurate time frame of when this started to occur, and if it ever stopped. All I can say is that when I did check, I couldn't.

Opera user/Bulbagarden Classic skin user here. I tried to use the forum search just now, and got the same thing. Got to the Advanced Search page fine, and got to the Search Single Content Type page fine, but when I put in the keyword and pressed enter, I got that message. I'm also getting the covered reply button (1440x900 resolution):

I can confirm this, because it's happening to me, too. I'm not sure if this happened to Kthleen, but when I click on "Advanced Search", this is what I see at the top of the page

I actually meant when I posted on other members' blogs, not comments made in my own blog. My bad for the wording there (unless you're talking about a setting for that, in which case, I haven't found one...).

1366x768 (it's exactly like the pic Kthleen posted above).

The problems addressed are still here. This is starting to frustrate me, so I hope the issues are being fixed.

You're not alone with the mod approval thing, except mine is with posts.

Going to be installing a few addon updates over this weekend (assuming I can finish marking student exams in time), which should hopefully fix that issue for people seeing it.

Really weird that I don't see it myself though. =/ That issue is turning up no matter what browser you use, I think you said?

I'm getting the reply to thread overlap as well. And this all the browsers I have.

Chrome:

Firefox:

It seems like everyone's getting the "Reply to Thread" overlap thing regardless of the browser being used. On the bright side, we still have the "Quick Reply" option, so the overlap thing seems to be more of an annoyance more than anything. I'd be more concerned about this if the quick reply thing vanished. Hopefully that doesn't happen anytime soon. Otherwise, we'd have a big problem regarding our ability to post.

Also experiencing reply button overlap. The Quick Reply box is a nice workaround but lacks some of the features I regularly use, and memorizing bbCode is less than ideal.

I'd rather not have to worry about liking a thread on Facebook every time I try to respond to it. :p

I'm not sure if my forum settings are weird or if it's my browser or what, but for me, hitting any reply button (Reply to Thread, Reply [to post], Reply With Quote) brings me to the Quick Reply box. I either have to right-click -> Open a reply button or hit the Go Advanced button to get to the actual Reply to Thread page.

Not everyone. I don't see that overlap at all. Which is why it confuses the hell out of me what's actually causing this issue.

That's working as intended. They made that change to the base vBulletin software a couple of versions back.

That's good to know (thanks), though that response was because I couldn't quite tell if Master Mew wasn't getting the same thing (hence worrying about liking a thread on Facebook when hitting the Reply to Thread button, presumably to get to the Reply to Thread page for the features he uses beyond those provided by the Quick Reply box; in which case, I wondered if my "hit button, get Quick Reply box instead of Reply to Thread page" issue was something I caused) or was getting the same thing (hence mentioning the Quick Reply box as a "workaround," which I first interpreted as using the Quick Reply box provided at the bottom and not bothering trying to get to the Reply to Thread page due to the button overlap, despite the uncovered button at the top and each post's Reply/Reply With Quote buttons...

).

Also, do you know if a post's Reply button sends a notification? I know Reply With Quote does, but personally, the plain Reply button otherwise seems superfluous with the existence of the two Reply to Thread buttons and the Quick Reply box.

Ah, I see. Thank you.
For post #18, I did actually use Reply for your post above (#17), so if you didn't get a notification, then it really doesn't send them.
