As of AG171, the director of the TV anime is 須藤典彦 Norihiko Sudō. Well, except AG172, which has no credit for the director, as with all episodes after AG158. (The previous director was 日高政光 Masamitsu Hidaka, who did the storyboard for AG163, AG164 and AG169 - so he hasn't left just yet.)

As of AG171, the animation is produced by OLM Team Iguchi. Well, except AG172, which was done by Team Ota, as with all episodes before.

A few other changes happened a little earlier at the start of Battle Frontier - one of the planners changed, and one of the producers as well.

The executive producers of the movies have also changed. All the previous AG movies were done by 久保雅一 Masakazu Kubo and 鶴 宏明 Hiroaki Tsuru but movie 9 is done by 久保雅一 Masakazu Kubo and 伊藤憲二郎 Kenjirō Itō.

Hmmm. I wonder who's next.

Well, I must say the animation overall has improved since the start of BF. The backgrounds are alot more detailed (Specially the trees).

Unfortunately, the sky is terrible-looking now. It looks like something from the WindWaker almost.
If I want cel-shading I'll watch the Simpsons
Yeah, I gotta agree, the trees are pretty but nothing tops the original animation of season one.
But still, why did they do the sky like that? It's just weird....

*needs to pay more attention to the sky, to see what Crystal Clair is talking about here*

Oh......

But, Zhen Lin, what about Kunihiko Yuyama (or Yuyama Kunihiko)?

Is he still working on the anime and movies, and stuff?

I think he's awesome!! I've seen him on the extras that they included on some of the Pokemon DVDs. :-)

Kunihiko Yuyama is the director of the movies and the executive producer for the TV anime. He's still around.

Wind Waker looks awesome.

The Simpsons isn't cel-shaded...

Eh, the animation in the show has always sucked. But at least it looks better now that the show is colored digitally.
