Looks like more details have been compiled based on interviews with field testers. The graphics are pretty neat, too, though subject to change as the game is still under development.

Apparently, I made the news!

Ah, so it looks like the battle system isn't set in the real world like the capture system is, if I'm reading this right.

That's probably for the best to avoid things getting too hectic.

I like what I see. It baffles me that this information has to be revealed by field testers instead of official sources, though.

Honestly, I think they were hoping beta testers wouldn't reveal too much themselves. I applied to be a beta tester and i recall reading something saying not to reveal anything to the general public. I can't remember their exact wording though.

Considering it is still the beta testing phase, I doubt they'd have a great deal of importance placed on the hopes that nobody would reveal anything, particularly since they've made no legal requests for beta testers to sign. Plus, as it is still the beta stage, potentially anything is open to change, which might explain why they prefer not to reveal too much information themselves just in case they do change things.

Actually, that would likely be what the "Toggle Augmented Reality battling" toggle on the first picture is for.

It seems that a lot of fans are rushing to draw that conclusion. I don't get it, personally.
My thoughts didn't change from positive to negative at any point. The news seemed cheesy and forced from the beginning and so far there is nothing to change my mind it is not cheesy and forced. In the meantime, only people who had hype for Pokémon Go decreased and agreed with my thoughts.

Care to explain how the game is cheesy or forced? I must have missed the part where the game revolved around becoming a Pokemon Master or something of that nature.

The only thing I dislike is the mediocre looking graphics.
Prior to the leaks, I imagined the graphics to be better.

Pokemon Comaster has way better graphics than this.

The augmented reality function makes it overtly cheesy IMO, it looks cheap and is a combination of the technology just not being good enough yet and also the art style clashing with realism. Pair it with the terrible graphics of the non-augmented reality parts, the game just looks like a mess and a half. This is just what my friends and I think of course, everyone else can have their own opinion!
