Cody jumped into the air, pumping his fists. Blaze, his Blaziken, had just defeated Steven's Aggron. Steven looked at Cody, and began to speak. All that came out though, was "BEEP.....BEEP.....BEEP"

Cody reahced over and slammed his alarm. He hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, as he was to nervous about starting his journey. He had thought long and hard about who he was going to pick as a starter. Torchic was going to be his partner pokemon.

Sliding outof bed, Cody crawled over to his mirror. Pulling some clothes on, he looked at himself. Cody was wearing a jacket and T-shirt, wih jeans. He kept fidgeting with his Kanto hat, trying to make it look perfect for the occasion. As soon as he was happy with his appearence, Cody ran downstairs.

"Honey, I packed you backpack, and your wallet has 3,000 now," Cody's mother said. Cody smiled to her, grabbed his backpack off the table, and set off.

"Ill come back to show you my starter!" Cody yelled out, so he didnt hae to spend time now saying goodbye. He ran to the lab, and read a note on the door.

"Dear trainers, will be back soon, thanks.

-Elm"

Cody sat down and looked for the other trainer....

Juliet just woke up,thanks to her alarm."Oh yes,I remember!"she said to herself.She opened her room's window and looked out."What a glorious day to start my journey" she siad delighted.

She grabbed her light pink body bag and started packing.She placed in clothes and other stuff.Then she changed into her sleeveless dress and brown jacket.Then she tied up her blonde hair like the usual.Then she grabbed her bag,"wore" it,and went downstairs to the living room to wear her socks and shoes.

"Going already,sweetie?" her mom asked."Yes mother" Juliet said as she finished wearing her shoes."Which pokémon are you going to choose?""I'm not actually sure...""Well,add this to your money,sweetie and good luck!""Thank you very much,mother" then Juliet kissed her mother goodbye and walked outside.

"I'll be back later,mother!"Juliet said as she waved goodbye.

Juliet walked towards the lab,but saw that someone was already there."Oh,is that another trainer,maybe?" she said to herself.

Cody saw someone approaching in the distance. He recognize it as a girl his age. Walking up to the girl, he held his hand out. "Hello, are you starting today too?" Cody asked. "Im Cody Mansir," Cody added.

Juliet backed up one step away when Cody approached her.She looked elsewhere for a second then looked at Cody."Uhmm...yes.I-I'm Juliet,Juliet Robinson.A pleasure to meet you." Juliet said shyly with a smile as she held out her hand and shook Cody's.

"Uhmm...yes.I-I'm Juliet,Juliet Robinson.A pleasure to meet you." the girl said, shaking Cody's hand. Cody then noticed someone else walking up in the distance. Looking over he saw the proffesser!

Elm walked up and smiled to the two kids. "I believe you are Cody and Juliet? Follow me," Elm said. He walked into his lab and Cody followed. Elm walked over to a table that had three pokeballs on it. "Go ahead, choose one," he said.

Cody turned around to Juliet. "Go ahead, you can go first.

"Uhmm...okay" Juliet replied as she walked towards the pokéballs.She looked at each pokéball for a second."I'll take the water starter,please" she said as she picked up the pokéball.

Juliet walked over and picked up Mudkip's pokeball. Cody smiled. He knew that if she picked Mudkip, the starter he wanted this whole time would be weak to hers. A challenge. cody walked forward and picked up the pokeball that had a red emblem.

"I pick Torchic!" Cody said, excitedly. "Hey Juliet, wanna battle?" Cody asked, motioning to an arena just outside the lab. Elm smiled and walked over to the kids.

"Well hold on, first, you are gonna need these," Elm said. He handed each kid 5 pokeballs and a pokedex. Cody put them in his bag and looked at Juliet.

"H-huh!?" Juliet replied a bit surprised.But why so sudden....? she thought. "Well,uhm...sure,why not?" she said with a smile as she looked at her pokéball that had a blue raindrop.(or whatever it's called xD)

Juliet seemed duprised when Cody wanted to battle. I wonder why Cody thought to himself. He ran out into the field and ran to one side. Cody, still holding his only pokeball, couldn't wait. He lobbed the pokeball up into the air. It spun end over end and finally stopped in mid-air. The capsule opened, and a red beam shot out. The red beam hit the ground and began to take shape.

The shape grew into a small chicken. It was a Torchic. "Come on out Blaze!" Cody yelled.

Juliet ran after Cody.But she suddenly stopped when she was in front of the door.She turned around to the professor and bowed."Thank you very much for the Pokémon,Pokéballs,and Pokédex,Professor.Please excuse us" she said while she was bowing and then ran outside and stood at the other side.I think the water starter here is a Mudkip so... she thought while looking at the pokéball."Mudkip,stage on!" she said as she threw the pokéball up to the air.The pokéball opened up and a red beam went out and started forming shape.The shape turned out to be a small blue pokémon.

"Mudkip!" the Mudkip cried cheerfully.Juliet was silent as she stared at the Mudkip and the Mudkip stared back at her.

Cody saw Juliet run to the other side of the field and eelwase her pokemon, a Mudkip.

"ok Torchic, use Tackle!" Cody commanded. Torchic ran forward, gaining speed as it went. Cody was curious to see what his opponents move would be.

"H-huh?" Juliet looked at the Torchic as it ran to attack."Uhm...okay,Mudkip,Dodge it!" she said pointing out to the Torchic.The Mudkip jumped out of the Torchic's way.

What move does a level 5 Mudkip know again... she thought as she looked at the battle.

OOC: I thought Torchic only knows Scratch and Growl when at lvl. 5? o.o

Juliet commanded Mudkip to dodge the attack. Torchic ran right past, then spun around on its claws. "So shes a dodger huh?" Cody muttered to himself. "Ok Torchic, use growl!" Cody commanded. Torchic turned around and growled at the Mudkip.

Mudkip ran towards Torchic, and Cody knew that this could be troube. Unfortunately, Cody couldn't react in time. Torchic was slammed and fell on the ground. Jumpig to it's feet quickly. Cody looked towards Torchic. "Ok buddy, Scratch!" Cody commanded. Torchic ran forward and jumped, claws outstretched.

"Mudkip,Dodge it!"Juliet said.But she knew even if her Mudkip tries and dodge the attack,Mudkip will still get hit.And it did.Mudkip backed up and shook its head."Mudkip,are you alright?" Juliet said kneeling down."Mud!Mudkip!" Mudkip replied cheerfully.
