Okay, now before anyone closes this thread because it's in the wrong place, hear me out. I am willing to give a full party of any 6 breedable shiny pokemon in their unevolved form to the first person who can post a link or email a video of a complete description of how to RNG a shiny Ho-oh in HG. I am dead serious about this. However, I must approve the video/link first. If you feel that your video/link was worthy but you were not awarded the shinies then please feel free to report me. Thanks to all!

CURRENTLY CLOSED, TESTING CHAMOMMY'S ANSWER.

Unfortunately, I've looked at this site before. They talk about it at first, but I mostly need help finding my initial seed when you don't have access to ~lvl 50 pokés. I haven't forgotten about your other shiny either, just btw.

yeah i was looking at various sites cuz a friend wanted to do the same but it looks like that almost no one had obtain one in this method

If this is your first time going after Ho-Oh, you can just faint it. After you beat the Elite Four, it respawns in the same place. You can then find areas with level 50 plus pokes for initial seeds. You should check the walkthrough on GameFaqs just to be sure I got this right, but I'm pretty sure it respawns if you faint it, after you beat the elite four.

If you can confirm for me that its IVs and everything else are redetermined once it reappears, I will award you the shinies.

Oh, I don't need the shinies. I'm pretty sure that the stats and nature change when the legendary respawns, so you'd basically be RNGing for the nature and stats you want at the time you can get a proper seed. But if you want to give me a shiny Ho-Oh, I won't say no (small edit, lol).

Another edit: I'm getting most of this info from the quick questions board on Smogon's forum, btw. People have asked it before. They are heavily into RNG over there.

Haha, if this works, and if you give me some time, then yes, I will give you a shiny Ho-oh for your trouble. I looked around on Smogon, I couldn't much help though....

Thanks, I can wait.

Smogon is kinda funny. The quick question thread is humongous and you have to go back through it for pages sometimes to see if someone else had the same question and got answered, because even if you ask a question on the thread, it can get buried by several other people asking other questions right after you. I usually scan the thread once in a while to see what's happening and that's how I saw the respawning thing first. Then I checked the FAQs on GameFAQs, but this was after I already caught my Ho-Oh. I have no choice but to Faint my Legendary dogs, because I met one in the grass by accident, so I have to reset it in order to RNG it properly in the future.

Be careful, there may be one legendary that does not respawn. I think it might be Suicune.

Edit: This is what the FAQ said about Suicune

From GameFAQs--Also, if you defeat Suicune, you can re fight it by going to the Burned Tower
Basement once you beat the Elite Four again. Its level and moves will all be
the same.
