Alright, so here's the deal. It's 12:24am EST and I'm bored. I don't have school today and I need something to do with my life. Not to mention I think this is the first contest of 2010? (Correct me if I'm wrong.) So I'm making a spriting contest for the members of BMGf. Anyone can enter so long as you don't get banned before the end of the contest. (Because obviously if you get banned, you won't be here to accept your prize.) So here's the run down of what the contest categories are.
Pokémon Splices/Fusions
The typical thing in many sprite contests. You take two or more Pokémon and splice/fuse them together.

Pokémon Recolors
You take a Pokémon and recolor it. Simple as that.

Pokémon Scratch Sprites
Create your own Pokémon from scratch. If there's any parts from an already existing Pokémon, it's disqualified already. Keyword is scratch, guys. Make it your own work.

Pokémon Revamps
Revamp a Pokémon sprite. Simple as that.

Pokémon Devamps
Devamp a Pokémon sprite. I don't think this can get anymore simple.

Lineless Sprites
Make a lineless sprite. It looks like a plushie, for the record. At least, I think it does, anyways.

Overshades
Make an overshaded sprite. Duh. Basically, you make it look more 3Dish & all. There's an explanation on page 7 if you want a better one than I'll ever give.

Trainer Sprite Edits
Formerly Trainer Splices/Fusions. Edit a trainer sprite. Post it. You're in.

Trainer VS Sprites
Honestly, I don't think I've seen these used in a contest before, haha. So anyways, you can either create your own VS Sprite from scratch or recolor another character's VS Sprite. As long as it's a VS Sprite, I'm not entirely concerned here.

Trainer Scratch Sprites
Again, you make a trainer sprite from scratch. No parts from another existing trainer involved or it's disqualified.

Custom Secret Bases
So you make your own secret base. Complete with furniture & all that nice stuff. They can be generation 3 or 4.
Entrants: Jaxon (x2), electroalex01 (x2)
And of course, no contest is a contest without rules.
Rules!
1. Up to two entries per person per category. For example, Person A puts in two entries for Pokémon Recolors. Person B puts in one entry for Trainer Scratch Sprites. Person A can't put any more entries into Pokémon Recolors, but they can put up to two more entries into any other category. Person B can still put another entry into Trainer Scratch Sprites.
2. Make your own stuff. Do NOT go and nag Moises or whoever the hell else makes sprites to make you one for this contest. If I suspect that your entry was requested by one of the BMGf sprites, you'll be disqualified if the sprite was made by another BMGf spriter. And trust me, I can find this stuff out one way or another.
3. Suggestions for categories? Either post them in this thread or VM them to me & if I like the suggestion, I'll be sure to add it.
4. Any further comments, questions, or concerns can be VM'd to me or posted in this thread and I'll get to them as soon as possible.
And now here's the deal with judges. I'll be judging entries, obviously. This is my contest. However, I'd also like 3 other judges to assist me (& because I like second opinions, haha). So if you'd like to judge in this contest, DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD. VM me & we'll discuss. Oh. & if you judge, you can't enter. ...That usually results in you voting for yourself & no one likes that, tee hee.

And now for prizes. I'm obviously not giving out monetary prizes or anything of that sort. Instead, the top 3 winners from each category will get a graphic of some sort, made by Felly herself, indicating that they won the contest and all of that nice stuff. And I'll use the winning sprite in it & all of that nice stuff. The prize will be PM'd to you unless I can miraculously somehow make it before the closure of the contest.
Deadline for the contest: March 31st, 2010. The deadline will not be extended unless extenuating circumstances apply to Felly or any of the other 3 judges.
