A Gym Leader mode.

What if, when after you beat the game, you could take the place of a gym leader? I'll use Unova as an example, but I really mean any region:

say you beat the game, and you talk to a Gym Leader, they let you take their place temporarily(almost like you're doing their job for them), so you have to stay in the same place and wait for trainers to approach you then battle them and distribute the badges to those who win. But since its temporary, you have the choice of switching back with the full-time leader of the Gym at anytime, and the Gym can be any gym of your choosing(Skyla's gym for example, and you're in charge of the Jet Badge).

Or how about if its set up like the Battle Frontier and Battle Subway, where there's a set amount of trainers you have to defeat(lets say 10) and you have to keep beating them to stay Gym Leader(and if lose, you have to give them the badge and resign(I know Gym Leading doesn't work that way, but maybe this is a secondary mode to choose).

I've seen ideas like this before, basically, where's the fun in that? All you would be doing is waiting for challengers and just be battling all the time and all the trainers would have similar team. It would get very boring very quickly

There should be a game where we are allowed to be a gym leader and we could customize out gym, badge and trainers.

Or they can design it such that one battler is spawned randomly each day. You wouldn't have to wait for challengers and can hang out while you can come back and battle the battlers at you convenience. If you dont battle everyday, the battlers "are collected" or wait for you and you can battle them all at the same time later.

the pace of challengers appearing would be much more sped up than it would be for a regular Gym Leader, so there wouldnt be much, if any waiting at all. One would appear literally seconda after the previous one and there'd be a set number for each time, like the Battle Fronteir and Battle Subway, their pokemon teams would be different for each, but most would carry ones that youre weak against(just like you'd do if you were the challenger), there'd be no predictability

I didnt think about that, one where you could costomize the gym and everything related to it, it'd be your own gym with your own type(s), that would be fun

I didnt have that in mind when I mentioned the idea, but thats a really good alternative to the gameplay of it

I dont want to sit and wait for battles, that would be quite boring. I like continuing my journey after beating gym leaders. The concept sounds cool in theory, but I dont want to just battle gym challengers or be stuck in a place in game.

You can still continue the game after beating the gym leaders, this mode is optional, and you wouldn't be stuck in the same place, it takes the exact same amount of time as a Battle Frontier/Subway challenge!

That would be awesome!!! In that case I would replace any of the water-type gym leaders in any region and then as gym leader I would use an overpowered and very strong Rain Team with Drizzle Toad and Swift Swimmers!!!! Muwahahahaha >
