So, how do you make a good sprite comic? Let me tell you.

First, you need your sprite resources:

http://spriters-resource.com/gameboy_advance/

Contains sprites from Red and Blue, all the way to Platinum.

http://www.vgmaps.com/

Maps for all the pokemon games.

http://tsgk.captainn.net/

A few sprites that you may need.

Now, you must collect your sprites for your characters. Then choose your map, items, etc.

A good sprite comic, like everything, needs a good plot. Where is it set? What happens? When is it set?

Done all that? Well now you can post it on here. Show people your sprite comics, then rate, comment, critisize. (but don't be too mean)

Any questions?

I sort of have a different method for making sprite comics.

Step 1: Don't.

A decent sprite comic is a dime a dozen... referring to Zimbabwe dimes of course, and that's not worth too much, is it?

I have a few tips here-

-To avoid your lettering from looking like crap, be VEEEEERY patient. My few StrikingIceShipping comics were hardly interesting in the least, because I did all the lettering by hand. It is not for the faint-hearted who will forget to "Save As" Panel 2, and accidentally remove all the lettering you just spent two hours on.

-Serebii has some of the miscillanious sheets that contain various sprites, like food in Celadon Restaurant, E4 decorations, various types of foliage, and landscape tile sets. The one I've been finding very helpful is attatched.

-You DO NOT have to stick to the rules. Don't you love it when something spices up the game such as seeing an old man sprawled across the path in Viridian? It breaks the laws of overoworld sprite physics. It keeps the players entertained, and stuff such as remodeled rooms will keeps your readers entertained.

-Mystery Dungeon 2 sprites are PERFECT for overworld Pokemon sprites. I think it's annoying that the dolls cannot be distinguished from the actual pokemon in the games. Place a couple of aquatics in a pond or something to add a little life to the setting. This way you can actually see trainers besides yourself battling.

-Custom overowrld trainer sprites are your friends. Create your own to fit your setting. The other day, I placed the head of the red-haired bikini girl over Giovanni's suit, and- voila- I have a custom casino worker.

-Parodies are okay. DHL's comic makes mke lol whenever Krys get stuck in a crappy gen. 2 world or Kirby and Boo show up.

-Carefully cutting out sprites from a map is helpful. I mean, don't waste your time like me trying to find the sprites of pool ladders from Misty's Gym when you could just take a VG map and use the eraser tool.

I just don't understand why everyone hates them. I have fun with sprites.

Decent remodel jobs are worth more than a dime a dozen. Look at my sig.

I'm not sprite comic bashing, because some can be great, like The Pokémon Observations, Reporterz or DHL's, but I'm saying that most aren't particularly good.

Sometimes, I find them interesting, but prefer drawn ones.

It's really quite a shame that there's this eternal negative stereotype that sprite comics automatically suck. On another forum on which I spend most of my time, pretty much anyone who doesn't spend time in the site's comics forum automatically assumes that everything in there is eyesearingly noobish. Needless to say, it's not true; there are some absolutely amazing works there (including mine :P).

Maybe one of these days, I'll have to have a crack at Pokémon sprite comics; I've been making comics for some other fandom for over three years now, so I know I can do at least reasonably.

No, I don't think the stories or bad, just the graphics.

The only reason I'm doing sprite comics is because I've got a whole load of sprites, just waiting to be comic-ified.
