So this is it. I decided to rewrite my fanfic to see if it improved. This time, there will be numerous changes, even in the plot, so I'm expecting it to do better. Here goes the rewritten prologue:

The Pokémon moved slowly, despite its enormous power that made it appear as if it could kill anyone if it dared to come its way. It could do it indeed, but not in that moment. Its weakened state only led the enormous beast to drop a tear because of the humiliation it had just suffered. A simple creature from Arceus, no more powerful than it, had left them just as it was now. And it would come for more. The Sea Basin Pokemon glimpsed around it to check if the not-gonna-surrender-till-I-catch-Kyogre human appeared. No sign. It was glad, but it knew to perfection that if he appeared again, he definitely would catch it without mercy. Even with its most powerful attacks, it was a complete waste of time to keep fighting; there was no end to that human’s will at all. It tried to rest on the ground, but it started shaking suddenly. It was its partner in creating the Earth. A roar from its counterpart was enough to make it shudder. Its claims were natural: in ancient times, they had vowed not to enter to the other’s territory. But it was an emergency.

The injured Pokémon tried to explain itself, but, all of sudden, the sea got split into two, as a grey, formless airship rose slowly from Kyogre’s domains. The human, dressed in a black suit, made the creature tremble as it tried to escape. The human’s bright and disorganized hair was opposite to its eyes, that, despite the fact a light blue encompassed most of the pupils, showed the darkness of our character. Groudon stared at him, wondering what had he done to make his nemesis that scared. The human looked at him uneasy, remembering he had to catch both. He took out some balls with a golden M in their top, and a purple background on the same part. The bottom was a normal one, plain white like every single ball in the world. A button in center connected both parts, but it enlarged the ball from a portable, small and cute sphere, to the formal but not so big ball that it really was. He threw them both towards the Legendary Pokemon with the maneuvers that characterized him. The ball touched both of the creatures, but Kyogre got touched first. Although in disorder, both devices opened themselves and fell. Both Pokemon wondered what would happen next, but the human knew it to perfection and smiled, pleased that his work had succeeded.

It all came too quickly. A huge red energy surrounded the Pokemon and, slowly, reduced them to the size of the ball. Kyogre had expected this and didn’t struggle (this last part was due to his weakened state as well), reason for which the ball didn’t shake a bit: a blue lightning quickly surrounded it, but it condensed into a massive light of white sparks that lit the whole scenery. With Groudon, however, the affair was quite different on its first stage. The ball did shake in the first place, but the golden M shone, and the ball stopped moving after three attempts of the Continent Pokemon to get out of its new prison.

After the man opened his eyes, he realized that the sparkles that could damage his eyes were already gone, and that his prediction had been correct. Rushed by the thought of the money he would receive, he threw himself from the small part of the airship he was boarding, and, even though it appeared he would fall into the land and hurt himself, he somehow managed to fall on the water. There wasn’t any time for drying himself, or even going to land: he dived to catch Kyogre’s drowning ball just in time. He gulped water a few times before getting the spherical device, in order to replace his lack of air. Once on land, he caught the second ball and looked at them in disbelief. He could rule the world if we wanted, yet he just wanted money. Just money.

He lifted his head and made a sign to the pilot of his airship, ordering him to pick him up. He did as told, and, after a few seconds, the Pokemon Hunter was inside his vehicle. Even though he was wet, and, as such, very funny to his aircrew, the group of people laughed for another reason: they were actually celebrating that they will get their pay soon enough. H entered his room without even looking to his employees, but drying himself in the way. He threw the towel across the hallway once he entered the room, and closed the door shut so nobody could enter.

He started his tele-computer, and inputted a number in the screen, so that, few seconds later, an old, gray-haired man appeared in front of his eyes.

“I’ve got them,” began our character.
“Give them to me” followed the old man. “I’ve already sent the money.”

H wanted to curse him: this guy thought he could fool him quite easily and that really disturbed him.

“I won’t send anything unless I receive my money,” countered the young man. In that precise moment, the poacher heard a lock opening, and his personal assistant entered his room, handing him a small note which read:

Boss:
After everything we tried, this five years looking for J in Lake Valor have proved futile. In the end, we found her airship but there weren’t people inside there. Not even dead. As such, we have stopped looking.

G-Squad Leader.

H smacked a fist into the table with anger. The assistant gave him a small package with another note that read: “Moss’ money for the G and K job

The Pokémon hunter put both Pokéballs in a small space near his tele-computer, and the balls disappeared within his and his assistant’s eyes. He didn’t say a single word, he plainly turned off the computer, grabbed a little paper and wrote something.

“Come with me,” he ordered to his employee. The man followed orders, and went with his boss to the front door of the ship. They hadn’t left the terrain yet. H slowly opened the door and ordered the man to read the note.

“I’m…… fired?” shouted the man, its voice trembling in fear. His ex-boss just nodded, put a hand in his back as if to comfort him, but he really pushed the man into the vast sea. The poor guy fell right into the sea, crying because of his fate as he watched the airship he had worked in for twenty years slowly disappear into the sunset.

usually in writing you are not suppose to write numbers. You are suppose to write them out like twenty.

Other than that nice story

That last part seemed a bit random. Why was the guy fired?

Besides that, your description is good. You should look for a manual on punctuation, though, because you're forgetting to end your quoted sentences with commas.

Right, I'll take that into account. *Takes down notes*

It'll be better for next time, thanks for the constructive critics!

Yes, yes you will. I'll have the first chapter by tomorrow.

Chapter 1: Meetings.

The rain pounded my heart. The sound of it seemed like one of those sad songs that usually make you suffer when you have lost a family member. Why had life to be so cruel with me? I wasn’t bad. I had been a good boy, and I was a good young man. Life had turned back on me, but even so I was a good person. I was even a little handsome. My curly, brownish hair wasn’t that unattractive, and my green eyes had made quite some girls look at me. But my long arms weren’t so normal. They had proudly earned me the nickname of “Chimpanzee” in high-school. But that was nothing compared to my personal life. My mother had died in a fruitless effort to bring me up, and be the Sinnoh Champion at the same time. My dad had to raise me then, and, as horrible as my life was, the good old man had been killed by the horrible and cruel sea. Now I was standing in front of his grave. Tears came like hard, small rock on my face, and poured to the cursed stone that read:

“Here lies Johannes Shin, beloved father and friend.”

And it was all because of a man. A man who had taken away all what I had known in my seventeen years and that had finished with the life of a beloved and wonderful father who had given his life to raise a poor child whose mother died because of pressure. A man whose feelings were just hate, anger, and desire of getting what he wanted without regarding the methods or the consequences. A man who didn’t care about anyone more than himself in this life, and whose Pokemon lived for the only purpose of fulfilling their master’s wishes. A horrible man that had to be punished.

“Excuse me, sir,” began a woman. Quite beautiful, with a full, white dress and a polite hat, she seemed quite worried for me. “You’ve been standing there for hours. Are you alright?”

I turned to see her, but the look I gave her wasn’t exactly the most comfortable.

“Not that I noticed! I was just…” she blushed. My look didn’t want to mean that anyhow, but I liked how she was inexperienced with men.

“I’m fine, thanks.” I like to be reserved, and that was no exception. I gave a quick smile. “Why are you here?”

“A friend of mine. He passed away some years ago, and today was his birthday. I usually come to visit him.” She sighed, as if an old wound had been opened. She lowered her head for a while, and then repeated my question as she lifted her head again.

“I’d prefer not to say.” was my answer.

“Umm… how about if we drink something next door in the Poffin house? I’m freezing cold.”

So was I.

“Sounds good to me.” I replied, and left the Hearthome Cementery. Long ago, it had just been a nameless church, but it started hosting dead people since a boy got mugged in the Lost Tower, accusing a Gastly of such crime. Thus, Hearthome had acquired another reason to be visited each year by astounding crowds. Anyway, I went with this strange lady and invited her to a sweet Poffin and a coffee. Much to her surprise, I only decided to drink hot water while I told her the story of my life, omitting a pair of details that I didn’t want her to know, including the story about my mother and my father, telling her that they hadn’t died and that they were just called to a faraway place named Isshu and hadn’t returned, and that an uncle of mine had been raising me.

“Wow. You’ve lived quite the hard life, haven’t you?” she managed between gulps of coffee.

“I guess so.”

“And your name was…?”

I wasn’t sure if telling her my real name was right: she seemed a trustworthy person, but, in the other hand, life had taught my father that even the closest person can betray you when he/she decides to do so.

“Jim,” I lied. “Jim Vallas. People call me V,” Darn, I was becoming quite good in faking my identity. “How about you?”

“Crimson Rota; you can call me Fire. My friends do.”

Oh crap, friends. For a second that young lady had been quite appealing for me, taking into account that I had nobody left in the world, aside from a pair of Pokemon. But she had friends, possibly stronger, better, more intelligent and more handsome than me.

“Hey, I was wondering… My boyfriend in Celestic Town is waiting for me, but I’m quite scared of the harsh path that awaits… do you think you might be able to get me there?”

By that time, I had already gotten pissed off. At first I had thought that the girl was inexperienced with men, but it turned out she had a boyfriend? I was glad I hadn’t told her my real name. And how come she offered me to take her to Celestic? That was miles away! All those Pokemon along the way would kill my weak ones! But from another look, I had nowhere to go and nothing to do: my house in Eterna would remember my parents a lot for which it was better to follow the girl and help her out for a while.

“I think I can, but it’ll take me some days.” I answered, quite confident.

“Of course, take your time. I can wait ‘till Wednesday, because I have to see my little sweetheart Dan for the Valentine’s Day on Friday.”

I shuddered, but thank Arceus she didn’t notice.

“You seem quite strong, Jim. That’s the reason why I chose you to escort me, you know.”

That last part seemed a little random. Why had she given me the reason for which she had chosen me? I guessed she thought I was wondering about that.

“Well, I’ll be seeing you.”

With these words, she finished her drink and Poffin, shook hands with me, and parted to the Hearthome Hotel.

In those moments, I was really wondering about other thing. How was I supposed to take Fire to Celestic if I only had a pair of weaklings named Turtwig and Togepi? I was even hurt that I had briefly loved this girl and she had ruined it in a matter of seconds. Still, I had no choice but to train my beasts in the nearby areas to strengthen them. But then a flash of inspiration lit my mind. H, my dad’s murderer, was going around in his airship. If I searched for him all over in Sinnoh, maybe I could find him and make him pay for what he had done. If I started to travel all around the region, he would eventually appear and I would be able to take revenge for the one I loved. And with those details clear on my mind, I paid the bill, and took off to Route 209 to start training, thrilled at the very idea of fulfilling my plans.
