A limited amount of money?

I haven't gotten extraordinarily far in the game, but so far it seems that the only encounters that you get money in are non-random. Aside from the trainers you find, are there other ways to get funds? Or, do I need to be conservative while considering purchases?

I wouldn't worry about being incredibly conservative. I found the Amulet coin, and right before I fought the Elite Four I had over 300000 bucks (yen, whatever).

Where IS the amulet coin? Usually you get it after the 3rd or 4th Gym, but I can't find it.

The Amulet Coin is in the park in Hearthome City that you can only go into if you have a cute pokemon with you. It's inside of one of the hollowed out buildings.

Hm, never thought of that.

Provided you fight every trainer (you should, so you can get the national dex immediately), you'll end with like 300k by the time you hit the elite 4 WITHOUT using the Amulet Coin. So, don't worry about it.

What about rechallenging people with the VS Seeker?

Don't forget the people you can battle in Valor Lakefront, in the hotel. There are some that give you something like 6000 per battle...

Oh yeah, the restaurant. But it's all double battles, and only one battle per meal, I think.

Rebattle the posh people outside of the Pokemon Mansion too, they're complete money whores also.

Their Pokemon should be carrying Nuggets too, since they're Lady and Rich Boy. So if you know Thief or Covet, that'll help.
