Side Note: I got the idea for this RP while browsing Bulbapedia's pages on the Brass and Tin Towers, though much of the plot is my own creativity ^.^
Plot:
Hundreds of years ago, in Ecruteak City, two towers stood tall and strong. They were the Brass Tower and the Tin Tower, and were the perches of the legendary Lugia and elusive Ho-oh respectively. The two pokemon were the guardians of Johto and protected the people from all outside evil.
That is, until war broke out. War caused the destruction of the Brass Tower. Lugia then fled to the seas, terrified and displeased with the humans, Ho-oh, though his tower was unscathed, was saddened deeply by all the humans had caused and hasn't been seen in Ecruteak City ever since. All this was the stuff of legends- stories that annoyed mothers told their children to make them go to sleep at night- until now.
Things had been going great until a few weeks ago. Unknown to the citizens of Johto, Lugia, who had long been dormant at the bottom of the ocean, has gone mad. Any time he sees a ship, a human, or sometimes even a pokemon, he attacks in a blind rage. Very few have survived encounters with him, and those who have are still in shock and unable to say anything about the matter that sounds even remotely logical, or are comatose. Ergo, the humans have no idea of what caused the shipwrecks or why some swimmers and pokemon have gone missing. Why is Lugia doing this, you ask? He may be ill, or he could be trying to wreak his revenge on humans for destroying his home, but whatever it is, it has to stop soon. No importing or exporting goods by water is possible, so this situation will get out of hand very quickly if it isn't solved.
That's where Ho-oh comes in. Unlike the humans, Ho-oh knows exactly what is causing the trouble, but like the humans, he needs to find a solution (he feels responsible for his old friend Lugia :3). He decides that a pokemon trainer (that loves his/her pokemon and can keep cool under pressure) would be the best for the job, but not just any trainer. It has to be one that was unaffected by the shipwrecks. That way, they're less likely to want to hurt Lugia. So, how will this all turn out? Well, my friend, that is up to you to decide.
(Humerous) Summary: Lugia got a little stir-crazy and went on a rampage. It's Ho-oh's job to set him straight, but instead of confronting him on his own, he decides that a human small enough to fit in Lugia's mouth would be PERFECT for the job!
Rules:
-No Godmodding/Powerplaying.
-Make all pokemon battles fair. Unless your pokemon are extremely more experienced than your opponent, your pokemon should get hit at least once during a battle. Making your pokemon get hit makes the battle more fun anyway! ^.^
-Post at least a paragraph (5 sentences) per post. If this site were mainly a roleplaying forum, I'd make the limit higher, but it's not, so it would be too much to ask any more. I've been on sites that have posts that look like novels, but you don't need to go to those lengths. I only require proper grammar and enough description so that we know what your character is doing.
-Please limit yourself to only one or two characters, and try to wait until all the premades are taken before making your own character.
-Use your common sense, people! Just because I didn't list a basic rule doesn't mean that it doesn't apply. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me.
Premades:
Male Female Either
The Immature Hero: This person loves his/her pokemon and would do anything for them. Being rather young (in early teens at the most), s/he doesn't fully understand the severity of the situation at hand. This person is naive, but is being scouted out by Ho-oh. Only one or two of this character's pokemon have evolved once. The rest are still in the stages that s/he caught them at. (the first stage, not counting baby pokemon) TAKEN
The Trainer: This mid-teen chick isn't an ordinary girl. She's been fervently training her pokemon and herself since she was old enough to tell something to "Tackle!", and hasn't stopped since. She's picked up most of Johto's gym badges and has only stopped challenging gyms because her older brother was lost at sea in a shipwreck. She is determined to figure out what caused her brother's death, and would probably kill any pokemon that was guilty of the crime. However, she feels responsible for the Hero and tags along with him/her to make sure s/he doesn't get hurt. TAKEN
The Sailor: Having recently been employed on a cargo ship, this young adult was the only survivor of Lugia's attacks that is fully sane and conscious. However, people don't believe what he's saying about the "sea monster", but he swears that it fits the description of the "Lugia" from legends. Since the attack, he's been searching for the monster to find out what the heck it was. Two of his pokemon must be water types
The Enraged: This is Lugia. She has always been the more naive of the two Johto Birds, but this is different. After being driven from her home and prowling through the dark, quiet depths of the ocean for centuries, one could expect her to be a little miffed. She's gone a little coo-coo and is a danger to all around her. Her owner will decide her reason for being angry, but it has to be rational.
The Peace-Keeper: This is Ho-oh, the more rational and level-headed of Johto's Birds. He was Lugia's closest companion and often acted as her older sibling. He would take on Lugia himself, but that could result in death and would be too conspicuous. Instead, he decides that if he finds a trainer that earns his trust, it can surely earn Lugia's, thus bringing peace back to Johto. He would never face his old friend in combat- in his right mind, anyway.
I may make more later.
