Side Note: I got the idea for this RP while browsing Bulbapedia's pages on the Brass and Tin Towers, though much of the plot is my own creativity ^.^

Plot:

Hundreds of years ago, in Ecruteak City, two towers stood tall and strong. They were the Brass Tower and the Tin Tower, and were the perches of the legendary Lugia and elusive Ho-oh respectively. The two pokemon were the guardians of Johto and protected the people from all outside evil.

That is, until war broke out. War caused the destruction of the Brass Tower. Lugia then fled to the seas, terrified and displeased with the humans, Ho-oh, though his tower was unscathed, was saddened deeply by all the humans had caused and hasn't been seen in Ecruteak City ever since. All this was the stuff of legends- stories that annoyed mothers told their children to make them go to sleep at night- until now.

Things had been going great until a few weeks ago. Unknown to the citizens of Johto, Lugia, who had long been dormant at the bottom of the ocean, has gone mad. Any time he sees a ship, a human, or sometimes even a pokemon, he attacks in a blind rage. Very few have survived encounters with him, and those who have are still in shock and unable to say anything about the matter that sounds even remotely logical, or are comatose. Ergo, the humans have no idea of what caused the shipwrecks or why some swimmers and pokemon have gone missing. Why is Lugia doing this, you ask? He may be ill, or he could be trying to wreak his revenge on humans for destroying his home, but whatever it is, it has to stop soon. No importing or exporting goods by water is possible, so this situation will get out of hand very quickly if it isn't solved.

That's where Ho-oh comes in. Unlike the humans, Ho-oh knows exactly what is causing the trouble, but like the humans, he needs to find a solution (he feels responsible for his old friend Lugia :3). He decides that a pokemon trainer (that loves his/her pokemon and can keep cool under pressure) would be the best for the job, but not just any trainer. It has to be one that was unaffected by the shipwrecks. That way, they're less likely to want to hurt Lugia. So, how will this all turn out? Well, my friend, that is up to you to decide.

(Humerous) Summary:
Lugia got a little stir-crazy and went on a rampage. It's Ho-oh's job to set him straight, but instead of confronting him on his own, he decides that a human small enough to fit in Lugia's mouth would be PERFECT for the job!

Rules:

-No Godmodding/Powerplaying.
-Make all pokemon battles fair. Unless your pokemon are extremely more experienced than your opponent, your pokemon should get hit at least once during a battle. Making your pokemon get hit makes the battle more fun anyway! ^.^
-Post at least a paragraph (5 sentences) per post. If this site were mainly a roleplaying forum, I'd make the limit higher, but it's not, so it would be too much to ask any more. I've been on sites that have posts that look like novels, but you don't need to go to those lengths. I only require proper grammar and enough description so that we know what your character is doing.
-Please limit yourself to only one or two characters, and try to wait until all the premades are taken before making your own character.
-Use your common sense, people! Just because I didn't list a basic rule doesn't mean that it doesn't apply. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me.

Premades:

Male Female Either

The Immature Hero: This person loves his/her pokemon and would do anything for them. Being rather young (in early teens at the most), s/he doesn't fully understand the severity of the situation at hand. This person is naive, but is being scouted out by Ho-oh. Only one or two of this character's pokemon have evolved once. The rest are still in the stages that s/he caught them at. (the first stage, not counting baby pokemon) TAKEN

The Trainer: This mid-teen chick isn't an ordinary girl. She's been fervently training her pokemon and herself since she was old enough to tell something to "Tackle!", and hasn't stopped since. She's picked up most of Johto's gym badges and has only stopped challenging gyms because her older brother was lost at sea in a shipwreck. She is determined to figure out what caused her brother's death, and would probably kill any pokemon that was guilty of the crime. However, she feels responsible for the Hero and tags along with him/her to make sure s/he doesn't get hurt.
TAKEN

The Sailor: Having recently been employed on a cargo ship, this young adult was the only survivor of Lugia's attacks that is fully sane and conscious. However, people don't believe what he's saying about the "sea monster", but he swears that it fits the description of the "Lugia" from legends. Since the attack, he's been searching for the monster to find out what the heck it was. Two of his pokemon must be water types

The Enraged: This is Lugia. She has always been the more naive of the two Johto Birds, but this is different. After being driven from her home and prowling through the dark, quiet depths of the ocean for centuries, one could expect her to be a little miffed. She's gone a little coo-coo and is a danger to all around her. Her owner will decide her reason for being angry, but it has to be rational.

The Peace-Keeper: This is Ho-oh, the more rational and level-headed of Johto's Birds. He was Lugia's closest companion and often acted as her older sibling. He would take on Lugia himself, but that could result in death and would be too conspicuous. Instead, he decides that if he finds a trainer that earns his trust, it can surely earn Lugia's, thus bringing peace back to Johto. He would never face his old friend in combat- in his right mind, anyway.

I may make more later.

I'm working on it right now! (but it's a premade) :3

It's almost done~

EDIT:

You can always post it first and let me see if it's good enough. I don't bite- hard >:3

Name: Irayna Vickerson
Title: The Trainer
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Hometown: Olivine City
Appearance: Minus the cigarette of course! xD
Pokemon:

093.png

Haunter
Male
Irayna's first pokemon, Haunter is closest to her and loves battling. He gets along well with most trainers, but they don't usually like him.

Spr_4p_026_m.png

Raichu
Male
This spunky mouse loves nothing more than running and is eager to please his owner.

Spr_4h_227.png

Skarmory
Female
She has a fiery personality and "rules" over Irayna's male pokemon with an iron wing. (no pun intended- okay, maybe a little bit xD)

Spr_4h_126.png

Magmar
Male
He's aloof and easy going most of the time, despite being a fire type, though he hates Electabuzzes and the like.

319.png

Sharpedo
Male
As his species implies, Sharpedo is very fierce, though he is gentle towards his owner.

Cool.

Name: Jacob A. Marion
Age: 18
Gender: M
Hometown: Ecruteak
Appearance: Silver hair that is medium length, one blue and one green eye, and around 5'10''. Has a small silver necklace with a piece of jade at the end. Wears baggy cargo pants, a tank-top that has a neck that goes up half of his face, and wears headphones.
Personality: While Jacob isn't very social or joking, he is dedicated to whatever he does. He is close to his Pokemon, but has very few non-buisness connections other than that. A very good strategist and very intuitive.
History: He was found at the gate of Ecruteak, and with his odd appearance and personality, became known to the locals as the "Ghostchild". He grew up without any formal education, but somehow is known as one of the brightest kids in Ectuteak. When he turned ten, he stopped caring about trying to get food legally, and became a pickpocket, but nobody ever suspected or discovered him. It was this way that he got his first Pokemon and the stone to evolve it. He soon left before his thieving was discovered, and lived off the land for a year as he raided small farms for small amounts of food, still undectectable. Seven years later, he returned to Ecruteak for a yearly celebration, where he currently resides outside the city gate where he was found.
Pokemon:
Arcanine/Zippo (M)
arcanine.png

Zippo is the most upbeat Pokemon on Jacob's team, and the noble he was pickpocketed from never missed him out of the litter he was part of. Easily Jacob's strongest Pokemon.
Staraptor/Wingman (M)
Spr_4p_398_m.png

Wingman got his name after he was used in Jacob's first Double Battle. He is a perfect partner for Zippo with his ability to use the air to manipulate Zippo's flames. Very stoic.
Electivire/Spark (M)
Electivire.gif

Jacob got Spark in a trade for a Magmar, and despite the late takeoff, Spark is one of Jacob's more powerful Pokemon. His mood depends on where they are; the warmer it is, the happier he is.
Cloyster/Frosty (F)
cloyster.png

Frosty is Jacob's only female Pokemon, but she is more wicked than any others. While her offensive capabilities are limited, Jacob trains new moves onto other Pokemon by having them hammer Frosty until she gets bored, proving her massive defense.
Scizor/Drews (M)
scizor-f.png

Drews is named after a joke made by one of Jacob's few friends, who yelled "Don't run with Scizor!" Abbriviated, that became DRWS, then Drews. Drews inherited the nature of the joke, and became a practical jokester.
Other: Carries a pocketknife and lighter, and smokes

Accepted!~ As soon as we get some more members, I'll make the posting thread ^w^

Ok, I'll be the hero. Just let me make the bio, just calling it.

Edit: Name: Michael Stevens
Title: the Inmature Hero
Gender: male
Age: 13
Hometown: New Bark Town
Appearance: Short blue hair, green eyes, tan skin, wears a green T-shirt with a leaf symbol on it (his favorite type) with a blue jacket over it and blue jeans. He has goggles he normally keeps pulled up over his forehead.
Pokemon:

Chikorita/Flower
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/d/d8/Spr_4h_152_s.png
Female
His starter Pokemon, though she's young, she's already showing signs of being powerful. She's kinda vain and overly protective of her master, even against Pokemon much larger than her.

Stunky/Toxic
http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/3/3e/434.png
Female
A gift from Michael's older sister, whose traveling in Sinnoh at the moment. Toxic is friendly to most Pokemon but blissfully unaware most Pokemon avoid Stunky, fortunantly being nonnative to Johto, many Pokemon haven't seen a Stunky before. She has a one sided crush on Irayna's Raichu

Other: Being he's a pretty new trainer, he's yet to have a full team yet, if ok?

Accepted!

I'll make Ho-oh, and then we'll need someone to take Lugia and Mr. Sailor. After that, we should be able to start without having to wait for the plot to progress.

Name: A.D

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Hometown: Pallet Town

Appearance: Similar appearance to Silver, but with brown hair and eyes, amd wearing long-sleeved red and black coat (zipped up Biker Jacket (I think it was) from Battle Revolution) and blue jeans with FireRed Male's shoes.

Sprite:
TrainerAD.jpg

Personality: Shy and quiet, A.D is a friendly person, who is not willing to fight, even when under attack, unless a friend is being attacked, in which case no mercy will be given. A.D has an obsession for strawberries to the point of sensing when some are near. He will not approach another unless approached first and dislikes people getting to close to his person unless allowed. He will observe something only when it perks his interest, not paying any attention otherwise.

History: He's just a wandering trainer who will help anyone in need. He has heard of the shipwrecking, but hasn't bothered much about the news, as he believe what happens happens for a reason. He has seen alot of Kanto and Johto, due to travelling for a total of 7 years.

Pokemon:

TrainerADwithparty.jpg

Venusaur
Male
A.D's starter and one of his closest companions, Venusaur is protective of A.D, often carrying him on his back during journeys, and will turn violent if A.D falls under any threat.

Pikachu
Female
A.D's second Pokémon, Pikachu is often outside her Pokéball and following A.D. She often shocks strangers who approach her, which helps A.D know what type of person the stranger is by the resulting reaction. She and A.D's Flareon are often seen together, which A.D is amused by and is hoping for an egg between them.

Gyarados
Male
Gyarados was originally a Magikarp A.D bought from a salesman at Mt. Moon. A.D took him in after he saw the Magikarp was unwell in the tank and helped him grow, eventually evolving on Route 24 and becoming A.D's strongest Pokémon until he caught Snorlax. Despite his fiercesome exterior, Gyarados is actually quite friendly, once grabbng a drowning child out of the sea without A.D's orders when he was sleeping on the beach (A.D, not Gyarados).

Flareon
Male
Flareon was an Eevee A.D recieved in Celadon City. He had been abandoned in the top-floor apartment and A.D took him in. Flareon is incredibly curious, which resulted in his evolution when he curiously touched a Fire Stone on the ground. He is often near A.D's Pikachu, which amuses A.D and has his hopes up for a egg from Pikachu.

Snorlax
Female
Snorlax is by far A.D's strongest Pokémon. As usual in it's species, Snorlax can often be seen sleeping, but when A.D requests it's need in a battle, she will awake and almost always become the dominating factor in a battle. She is quite calm, allowing anything sleep on her when she is resting.

Aerodactyl
Male
Aerodactyl is a young member of A.D's party. He was revived when a scientist used the Old Amber A.D had recieved by the Pewter City Museum staff for allowing them to display the Dome Fossil he had found in Mt. Moon. He is playful, but quite strong, able to carry 6 people on it's back and 4 in it's claws, albeit with a little strain, but since he rarely carries anyone but A.D, he doesn't often use his full strength. He tends to be told off by A.D when he grabs something in his mouth, but still likes A.D as a trainer, otherwise A.D would've released him to the wild to find his place in the world.

Other: Even though he could probably easily become champion, due to 7 years of travelling and training, A.D has never once attempted to enter the Pokémon League, probably because it requires him to battle. His lack of interest in battling has also hindered his training, resulting in his Pokémon not reaching Lvl 100 yet, only being in the late-70's area. If asked, he will train anyone by, oddly enough, helping them battle wild Pokémon.

Sorry, but I don't like premades due to hindering the imagination. Yours seem interesting, but I still prefer OCs.

One question: if this is in Johto, if we come across a fossil somehow, what could we do to revive it, since the nearest lab in in Kanto?

I would like the sailor, 'kay?

Name: Riley MacNeil
Title: The Sailor

Pokemon:

lanturn.png

Nickname: Lan

Personality: Being Riley's oldest Pokémon, he is incredibly loyal to the young man and listens to his every wish. He acts as a big brother to the other members of Riley's team. However, he often fights with Mac, Riley's Machoke.
Moves: Surf, Thunderbolt, Charge Beam, Aqua Tail

machoke.png

Nickname: Mac
Gender: Male
Personality: Mac loves to work and show off his strength. He is also very loyal to Riley but often starts fights with Lan.
Moves: Stength, Poison Jab, Ice Punch, Brick Break

wailmer.png

Nickname: Wally
Gender: Male
Personality: Wally is pretty self concious and worries about his size. As such, he refuses to evolve and wears an Everstone around his left fin. He tends to follow Lan around as he adores the fellow water type.
Moves: Whirlpool, Waterfall, Dive, Bounce

quilava.png

Nickname: Cyndi
Gender: Female
Personality: Cyndi, being Riley's only female Pokémon, uses her gender to get her way. She is very lazy and prefers to do nothing. However, she loves Riley and will only listen to him.
Moves: Flame Wheel, Swift, Double Edge, Dig

huntail.png

Nickname: Hunter
Gender: Male
Personality: Hunter like to prank people and gets in a lot of trouble for doing so. However, he will stop when it gets to far. If he hurts someone's feelings, he will try to apologize.
Moves: Ice Fang, Crunch, Baton Pass, Double Team

Other: Aside from being a sailor, Riley is also a avid fisherman.

This looks like an awesome RPG... Is it possible to play as two different characters?

...Hmm, Chocobo hasn't been on in 3 days. If he's off for a week, anyone mind if I take over? Cause I actually like this RP idea.

I say go for it.
Name: Kirk "Bayonet" Bailey

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Hometown: Blackthorn City

Appearance: http://media.photobucket.com/image/cool anime boy/naruto3377/anime boys/Anime-9.jpg?o=62

Personality: Kirk likes to keep himself to himself. He rarely speaks or shows any emotion, but this isn't because he's unsociable. His favourite pastime is thinking. He has a high IQ, which helped him become a skilled battler, and he mostly thinks about new battle strategies or the best way to use techniques. He does seem very serious, and some people find that annoying, while others find it mysterious and a handsome trait. He's the kind of person you can take or leave. While he is serious, he is very protective and kind to his Pokémon and people very close to him. When a strategy of his fails in battle, he always seems to have a backup plan, prompting the nickname "Bayonet" from his fans. Because of him being so secretive, people can be very surprised when he does or even says something intelligent.

History: Kirk caught his first Pokémon at the age of nine, and started his Pokémon journey at eleven. For three years he travelled the world, capturing new and fascinating Pokémon, but realised his true passion was battling rather than catching. He entered many competitions with his Pokémon, and battled every Gym he could find. He trained his Pokémon non-stop until they were all more well equipped and powerful than tanks. His amazing battling prowess spawned a fanbase, who came up with the nickname "Bayonet". To take a break from this hectic career, Kirk stopped for a drink in a coffee shop in Goldenrod, where he heard to gentlemen talking about the shipwrecks. He decided to go and check it out, as he really needed a holiday.

Pokemon:
Dragonite
149.png

Gender: Male
Attacks: Outrage, Draco Meteor, Extremespeed, Thunderbolt
Ability: Inner Focus
Info: Dragonite was the first Pokémon Kirk ever captured, and he captured it as a Dratini. It has never not been by his side and is his strongest Pokémon. It has a strang affinity for cupcakes. It is super loyal to him and will rip opponents to shreds in order to protect Kirk, and will never back down from a challenge.

Heracross
214.png

Gender: Male
Attacks: Megahorn, Close Combat, Night Slash, Harden
Ability: Guts
Info: Heracross is extremely competitive and proud of it's power. The problem with it is it won't give up in a battle, even if it's taking a beating by something it can never beat, like a Rhyperior or Tyranitar. It only likes being handled by Kirk, and will Harden if anyone else comes near it, and will Night Slash them if it is feeling grumpy or overly threatened.

Hypno
97.png

Gender: Female
Attacks: Psychic, Meditate, Theif, Thunderpunch
Ability: Forewarn
Info: Hypno is the only female on Kirk's team. Hypno is often more intelligent than Kirk, and they sometimes play mind games together, like chess. Kirk uses Hypno's intellect to get what he wants. She uses Psychic to create distractions, and then steals whatever Kirk needs. She often uses Attract against male opponents, but really battles hard against girls. Hypno can also predict the future, which is very useful.

Donphan
232.png

Gender: Male
Attacks: Earthquake, Gyro Ball, Iron Tail, Protect
Ability: Sturdy
Info: Donphan is curious and loves to eat. He often touches things on the ground using his trunk, and assesses if it is safe to eat or not, and how much nutrition he'll get from eating it. This unusual diet has given Donphan thick skin and powerful muscles. Donphan also likes to think a lot, like his trainer, but it's usually about new ways to get food. He usually charges at a tree to make fruit fall down. Donphan is also very quiet and doesn't get involved much.

Vaporeon
134.png

Gender: Male
Attacks: Hydro Pump, Acid Armor, Dive, Quick Attack
Ability: Water Absorb
Info: Vaporeon always seems to be bored. While Vaporeon can survive when not on water, it does seem very bored when it's not having a swim, or having a battle. He likes to dive underwater, because it feels for him like he's flying, as he is a very strong swimmer. When in the water, you'll never meet a happier person. Kirk often treats him to a swim to keep him happy and to stop him becoming sloppy in battle due to boredness/sadness. Kirk often goes diving with him.

Houndoom
229.png

Gender: Male
Attacks: Flamethrower, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Odor Sleuth
Ability: Early Bird
Info: Houndoom is jumpy. Houndoom often has trouble sleeping, as he always has something on his mind. He enjoys chasing after other, weaker Pokémon, but would never kill one. When in a true battle, however, that all changes. Houndoom becomes relentless, and uses attacks so quickly an opponent never knows what's coming. Houndoom can often smell food from miles away, which Hypno usually then steals.

Other: Kirk owns a diving suit themed after a Dragonair which he brought with him since he thought this adventure would involve water. It has the white front and everything else is blue. Dragonair's chin ball is used to breath through, and the ears are used for streamlining. The horn is used as a infrared targeting system that shoots a rocket from a cannon mounted on Kirk's wrist. Instead of eyes, it has a removable visor which uses heat vision to identify Pokémon. He also has a similar, yet smaller suit themed after a Dratini, which he will probably give to Michael.

EDIT: Changed the team a little, and gave him an "other" section. This'll hopefully be the final team draft.

If we can have two chars, time to add depth to mine...

Name: Alaois Giovanni Pazzi Da Firenze/Stunt/"Bob"
Age: 18 (Born same day as Jacob)
Gender: M
Hometown: Violet City
Appearance: Stunt has a toned body, sharp blue eyes, light blond hair, and generally attractive features. Since he came from a rich family, he often wears a suit, tie, and hat, with a pin of his family insignia... when it's forced onto him by his dad backing him into a corner and telling him he has to look good for the buisness meeting/family reunion/arranged marrige. Other times, he wears whatever shredded clothes he can find. Ripped shirts, jeans with holes in them, flip-flops, anything. He also has a thin scar on his left cheek.
Personality: Happy-go-lucky, very carefree... until you get on the subject of his family or his relationships. Stand back.
History:He never really got into competative battling, but his Pokemon can hold their own against the average gym-goer to Violet Gym. He often pulled dangerous acrobatics, including taking up Parkour, just to antagonize his father. When a burning knife juggling accident occured, he got the scar on his cheek, along with a few on his back. When his brother and his girlfriend disappeared on a voyage, he dumped his arranged marrige (to someone he hadn't met yet...), ran away, and is now in the slums of Ecruteak, making his way to Olivine.
Pokemon:
Arcanine/Carve (M)
arcanine.png

Stunt recieved Carve when he was younger, and it was one of two twin pups, the other mysteriously disappearing on his father's journey back. He isn't anything like Stunt (or the other pup...), often downcast and "emo" like. A last resort powerhouse.
Aerodactyl/Skyfall(M)
142.png

Skyfall was cloned from Old Amber that Stunt's father bought on one of his voyages through Kanto, but he was revived on Stunt's brother's next trip through the land to the east. Powerful and jolly.
Milotic/Tidal (M)
milotic_display.png

Tidal is a powerful water battler, fun to be around... and will next to kill you if you mistake him for a girl. Or allude to him being a girl. In fact, when he was on a family fishing trip, Stunt joked about Milotic being feminine. Two seconds later, a Feebas was flopping on the boat, trying to rip it in two. To this day, it is one of the most loyal Pokemon Stunt has with him.
Lucario/Stunt II
lucario.png

When a stray Riolu did a BASE jump, without a parachute, off of the Sprout Tower, masterfully landing on Skyfall in the middle of a dive, Stunt thought "Holy S***!", then "It must be mine." It is still a daredevil to this day, often competing with Stunt to see who can do more dangerous things and end up less hurt.
Flygon/Sandy (F)
flygon.png

Sandy is a very active Pokemon, barely able to listen to commands for more than a few seconds, until she feels challenged. Then she forgets she even has an owner and goes into an unstoppable rage. Another gift from Stunt's father.
Other: Nothing, really, exept the mention that Jacob's sheet is from his perspective, Stunt's from his.

Well, now that Lugia and Sailor-boy are taken, when are we starting?

Either when Chocobo sees they're taken and creates the proper RP or on the 23rd when I take command due to their week absence...in which case they'd just have to ask to take command back, but you get what I mean.
