A midly obsessive-compulsive question for all those fans of PokeSpe

OK, this is a very random question, but how would the characters from PokeSpe be listed if they were going from the oldest character (Blue) to the youngest (???), taking the HGSS chapter as reference?

There are articles in Bulbapedia about each character, with dates of birth (...isn't that thought just now hilarious?) and age as of the HGSS chapter listed. However, I can't use those "current ages" for the purpose of the list, because I know that Ruby and Sapphire are the same age, yet she appears as one year younger than Ruby as of HGSS, which seems to point out to the possibility of HGSS happening during the early summer or midsummer.

Now, people, I have the order like this for the moment, but have some doubts placing the GSC characters, and I'm missing other three (namely Pearl, Diamond and Platinum) so I also need help in placing them:

7. Gold
8. Ruby
9. Sapphire
10. Emerald

13.

...and to think that the Black and White games are so close! And that they, most probably, will also have a manga chapter! OMG, NOOO!!!

I don't think the older-older, just older-than-average-when-beginning. Just like the DPPt trio, that seems to have started off at 13 when the previous average was 11.

...and nobody can beat Blue to being the oldest. By the time the Black and White chapter is over, I'm sure she'll quit and will get married, probably in a hurry so her 25th birthday doesn't reach her.

There's a huge difference between being more mature and being older, especially when you're talking about girls and boys, and especially when the girl comes from a well-respected upper class family.

Exactly what you are saying there. Girls tend to be more mature in most fictional works by default (reference trope: Closer To Earth)



Anyways, either of you two, aeOHai and Rellik, do you know the dates of birth of Platinum, Pearl or Diamond? I'd like it to be organized as would be canonically correct, not only what we think it is.

...that's also why my main concern with the list is with settling the dispute between Gold, Silver and Crystal down. Who is the oldest of the three? The youngest? Just those two questions answered with good arguments, and I'm good to go and wait for the dates of birth of the remaining three.

Well, in the initial game artwork (as in GenI and GenII), the style was similar to Dragon Ball, so nobody looked their age (just like was the case for Chrono Trigger's own artwork). Nowadays, the art is a little bit more standard-anime-like; they now look more... reasonable, don't you think?

However, the manga is another issue altogether... Let's not stray too much from the topic.

Mato's style made them look younger, but the new guy gives em more of a anime teen look. IMO :smokin:

It seems they'll feature the Pokeathlon and the Safari Zone, which are the new things of these remakes; just like the Sevii Islands for the FRLG chapter.

God, I wonder about that too...

I mean, I'm a Silver fan and all, and I want to see more of him, but I'm worried about Gold. How can he fight Arceus? I don't think he can manage... not alone, at least, but we don't know where everyone else is when he's battling the Pokedeity.
