A spambot is not a person. It's a script that joins a forum and posts things like advertisements.

I know that. What I MEANT is that the SpamBot's Username gets banned if you see what I mean.

When a spambot gets banned their name is banned already.

There is really no way to detect when a bot like this joins a forum. All you can do is find it and ban it.

I think your confusion comes from assuming that all infractions are automatic. But they aren't. We have to actually find each one and give it out manually; there's no script we have that checks when you're double-posting, for instance.

And plus, if the whole infraction thing was run by a script, then alot of people would get infractions by mistake.

Mods can only close/delete threads in their own sections. So, until a Super Mod or an Admin can get to it, just report and be done with it. Do not post in spambot threads.
