Somebody would have to make it. It would make bulbagarden look more professional... (Well, not for showing blemishes in the pokemon community... I think feuds should be on a need to know basis. I don't think every fandom needs to see Pokemon's drama) I'm not sure that videos for instructions on how to use Vbulletin is needed... but video tutorials as part of Bulbapedia sounds like a good idea. (I guess you can just add the forum tutorials if you want, but using videos to demonstrate game features like difference in catch rates, to cloning, to chaining shiny pokemon, etc would be a good thing to have in a centralized location)

Also, it could broadcast the Bulbacast (well, maybe a mini version)... but I see now, you mean battles in the League, not drama stuff... yeah that idea is pretty good.

It's just a lot of work that they'd have to get a bunch of people to work on...

meh. there would be too many people wanting to upload videos. i'd bet it would be a lot of work for the staff.

Since both Bulbagarden and IPGL have YouTube accounts, that's a possibility. They may have thought of this already and that's why they have accounts. Bulbacast on YouTube would be nice for those of us who are too poor to afford iPods *cough*me*cough*.

Eh.... Yeah. Might want to wait on that possibility until we can get the site running normally again, at the very least. Also, IMO it seems like a waste of time to make video tutorials for a website and a forum. Anyone that knows enough about us to find us on Youtube has probably seen a forum before. Even if they haven't been to a wiki before, the site design couldn't be more simpler to someone merely seeking information about Pokémon. Editing and the more advanced wikicode... that might be a different story. But that's what MetaWiki is for. I think that it would just be more of an affiliation thing, something to show that you are part of the 'garden than anything else if it were to happen.

Pretty much my two cents, though.

Re:Blazevoir, you don't need an iPod to listen to Bulbacast; iTunes has it for free to listen to.

I think this actually may be a good idea. At the very least, YouTube is a popular sight and posting videos would increase our visibility.

Yea, Its great to get a little more noticed, and we have the skill to create a channel. I see how this isn't possible.

Facebook page? Facebook apps?

Also: Has anyone seen the shitstorm commentary that is YouTube?

And iTunes is free... You don't need an iPod to listen to the cast.

well i have to admit that bulbagarden havuing youtube and facebook accounts is news to me
off to subscribe and add right now maybe what we need isnt new stuff but better promotion of the existing stuff

Once I am able to battle again, most of my gym battles will be on http://www.youtube.com/TheIPGL. And also any other leader who wants to send me video of their battle. Most leaders are informed about it now, too. Maybe I'll try pushing it upon them.

thanks to the battle recorder, it could prove much easier.

Except not everyone has Platinum. I suppose PorygonZ could film it off the Battle Recorder after downloading the video from Wi-Fi. He'd have to do it quick, though, because the Global Terminal only stores a total of 5 videos on Wi-Fi per game and it deletes older videos when you surpass 5.
