A Pokémon A Day

To maintain my art skills, I plan on drawing at least one Pokémon or Pokémon character (the former chosen by RNG) a day.

I started this evening with Vanillish.

I will comment with the next ones as I go along. Vanillish took me about 2 and a half hours, most of the time spent on the ice effect and on the background.

Nice! I like the background as a whole; especially the buildings. That was a nice touch.
 
Nice! The ice looks really good, I know it can be a hard look to duplicate. Vanillish is an interesting choice for a first pokemon to draw.
 
I let the RNG decide what Pokémon I start with, so that's why it was chosen. :')

Day three! Rapidash. Different style because HORSES ARE HARD.
 
These are very cool so far! I like the details added to each piece~ c: The Rapidash one reminds me of when I drew horses a lot when I was a kid...

Good job on the style used to create the ice in the Vanillish one. Keep it up. c:

Excadrill! Back to the earlier style.
 
These are really well done! I like them a lot! Out of the two styles I definitely prefer the Starly and Excadrill. They definitely feel more cartoonish, which I love.

I think the environments you place the Pokemon in really makes these pictures! I love it!

My first incomplete. :( I was out of the house almost all day today, and only managed to whip this up in about 20 minutes. Since Sundays are always this busy, I may take Sundays off.
 
I once had a team of Pokémon that were "masculine" or ugly that were actually ladies (machamp, magmar, etc). That was fun!

Different style... this time, because I'm moving deviantart accounts! Since my new username is fancyfennekin, I drew... a fancy fennekin!

Attempted a different style, since the purpose of this challenge is to try challenge myself artistically.

Not completely sold on it but it was definitely a fun experience.
