So, we've seen threads about a Pokemon for each country or each US state, right? Well, I just thought about how some Pokemon would do well representing a National Football League team. x3

There are 32 teams in all, so that means 32 different Pokemon! Here's what I think so far.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Steelix, particularly a shiny one since it's gold.

Philadelphia Eagles: Braviary. I don't think I need to explain why lol.

Cincinnati Bengals: Raikou. It's tiger-like, and its shiny form has similar colors.

Detroit Lions: Luxray. It's a lion.

Buffalo Bills: Bouffalant. Again, no explanation needed.

Houston Texans: Tauros. The team has a bull head-shaped logo.

Denver Broncos: Rapidash, no question. The bronco head in the logo even looks like it has a flaming mane.

San Diego Chargers: Any electric type, really. Though Pikachu is the most well-known, so I'll go with that.

Seattle Seahawks: Pelipper. Need I say more?

Chicago Bears: Ursaring. I don't think I need to explain this one. xP

Miami Dolphins: Vaporeon. Imo, it looks like a cross between Eevee and and a dolphin.

And that's all I've got for now. xP

C'mon, this has the potential to be too easy. Regigigas, the Giants?

Change the thread to "A Pokemon for Every Sports Team."

I guess Regigigas works for the Giants. xP

And I know little about professional sports besides American football. Sorry. This thread is NFL teams only.

Easy? Not everyone here lives in America. Most non-Americans probably don't know anything about NFL and you say its easy. Half the teams mentioned in the OP I haven't even heard of.

@CliveKoopaBe that as it may, NFL teams have simple names and mascots, and I'd think Google would make finding an adequate pokemon mascot/representative a cinch for nearly all of the teams. The only thing hard would be finding such a pokemon for a team like the Cardinals, as there is simply no cardinal pokmeon. (But how about Bisharp, a Bishop and a Cardinal both being part of the Catholic hierarchy?)

As well, why keep a challenge so American-friendly (as it simply will be to most/many Americans on here), and why keep it so limited (there's only the potential for 32 pokemon to be selected.)? When I said "Every sports team," I didn't simply mean American ones.

Serperior for the Saints, cuz of its Fleur-de-Lis design on its chest & French inspiration

Miltank for the Green Bay Packers. Miltank produces milk, which can be made into cheese, which is what Wisconsin's known for.

Oh if only there was a legit Falcon Pokemon, then the Atlanta Falcons would have an appropriate matchup...

Ya, last I noticed Pidgeot had some Falcons as inspiration (think Egypian falcons). And as far as Vaporeon as the mascot for the Dolphins, I think Lanturn would be better suited since isnt it a mix between a dolphin and an angler fish?

Possibly Chatot for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? 'Cause, you know, they're buccaneers.

Maybe Wailord would be better for the Miami Dolphins, since they're both cetaceans.

Yeah totally, Pikachu for the Chargers all the way!

I just came up with a better idea for the 49ers: Excadrill. After all, "49ers" refers to those who went to California for the gold rush in 1849, and they would have had to dig/mine for the gold. A Pokemon that's basically a drill would represent that well.
