A Question About eBay Payment

When I go to "Shipping and Payments", there's always a bar that says "PayPal Preferred/Accepted." Most of the time it says, accepted, but when it says preferred, does that mean the seller will accept another form of payment as long as they get the money?

I have a PayPal on my mom's bank account and debit card, but she thinks I'll overdraft her account. If I send a money order to a "PayPal Preferred" seller, would it be acceptable?

The only reason I don't directly contact the seller is because I'm the highest bidder now, and I doubt they'd have gotten my message within the twelve hours left of the auction.

"Preferred" simply means that they'd like the buyer to use PayPal, but I'm sure they'd accept another form of payment (credit/debit).
