Hey I was just wondering something when I watched putting the Air back Aedodactyl but regarding Tracy and Professor Oak. Who on earth do they leave in charge of the lab when the both of them when they go away. I mean they leave and for all we know nobody could be in charge.

The other thing I noticed is how do they manage to look after hundreds perhaps thousands of Pokemon. I mean Ash, Gary and a whole load of Pokemon trainers (even the ones before Ash and Gary started) would have left their pokemon there, how do they manage it all.

Add to this the amount of things that Professor Oak and Tracy do in their lives in addition to the lab work. Professor Oak sometimes goes to Johto or the Seafoam Islands to do his radio show. Tracy sometimes goes to help Misty and such.

I ask you how do you think they manage to do it all and still have enough time to sleep and eat.

Re: How do they manage

I don't worry about such things when I'm watching an anime.

Good point, though. The Professor probably lives strictly off of caffeine.

Re: How do they manage

He may have other staff working there which we just don't see - the lab we see is his main one but there may be other buildings situated throughout the ranch with other people in so they can keep an eye on that area and store more PokeBalls instead of putting all the eggs in one basket for Pokemon thieves to take!

Whatever happened to Professor Oaks Aides??
we may not see them in the anime but i am pretty sure that they exist

And aside from how much work it would take, think about how much it would cost. Professor Oak must be a millionaire to be able to afford basically his own private zoo.

Pro Oak probably have aids to help. Why not, the other Professors has aids. If that is not enough help, there are probably pokemon there that can also handle the job.

Aids...heh...you mean aides. :p Aids either means a life-threatening disease or little gadgets that elderly people put in their ears so they can hear better. :p Oak will probably need one of the latter one of these days.

I would suspect that they grow a lot of the food for the Pokemon. Delia's gardening skills likely come in handy there. This has even been hinted at a few times in the series, where Delia was shown coming to Professor Oak's door with a load of food from her garden.

Yep, he probably has a lot of assistants and aides that help him take care of the pokemon, like in the VG.

That would be a fun job, taking care of pokemon there, don't you think? :)
lol

^ Aside from having other aides, I imagine many of the pokemon habitats are designed so the pokemon can get food for themselves, so they maintain some sort of self-sufficiency.

Well i assume Prof. Oak has some orderlies or Protégées to help him out with the lab, and bulbasaur also helps keeping the other pokemon in order.

They should exist, he couldn´t attend a lot of people/pokemon with no help (before tracey show´s up), or with just one guy (tracey)

We don't take kindly to people trying to find logic and sense in our animes around here, stranger.

...

No idea. MST3K Mantra. All I can say.

Well I was just wanting to know what you guys all thought lol, its just something that boggled my mind with Professor Oak running off to Johto for his radio show, Seafoam Islands every now and then, Hoenn occasionally. God I hope the guy gets frequent flyer miles.
