Ok, I know I already have a post for my Diamond tean, but I'm having trouble with thinking of who should be the last two spots, so I might give up on that team, and use Togekiss on my Pearl Team, alternating with someone. Now I'm not giving out on making a team, but its a completely new team, using Rain Dance. Here's what I thought of for a Rain Dance Team:

Castform.png

Nature: Timid
Item: Damp Rock
Ability:Forecast
Evs: 252 Speed, 252 Sp Attack, 4 HP
Moves:
Rain Dance
Weather Ball
Water Pulse/???
Thunder

He will most likely just set up Rain dance for the other pokemon on my team, but he can also attack

454-3.png

Ability: Dry Skin
Nature: Adament/Lonely
Item:Focus Sash
Evs: 252 Speed, 252 attack, 4 HP or 252 Speed, 128 Attack, 124 Special Attack, 4 HP
Moves:
Poison Jab
Sucker Punch
Brick Break
Swagger/ Sludge Bomb

My main physical sweeper, he also gets healed by the rain

BRONZONG.png

Ability:Levitate
Item:???
Nature: Bold
Evs: 252 HP, 252 Defense, 4 Special Attack
Moves:
Rain Dance
Stealth Rock
Psychic
Hidden Power / Flash Cannin

He sometimes will go before Castform, to set up Rain Dance and Stealth Rock.

Rotom.png

Nature: Modest
Ability: Levitate
Item: ???
Evs: 252 Special Attack, 252 Speed
Moves:
Thunder
Ominous Wind
Double team
confuse ray

I'm not too sure about him. I migth want to trade him with a Jolteom

Nature:???
Ability:???
Item: Leftovers
Evs: 252 Special Defense, 124 Special attack, 128 HP
Moves:
Leech Seed
Surf
Ice Beam/Giga Drain
Toxic

Somewhat of an annoyer, somewhat of a sweeper. I could use help with him

Nature: Mild
Ability: Intimidate
Item: Life Orb
Evs: 252 Speed, 124 Special attack, 128 attack
Moves:
Hydro Pump
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Roost/Protect

A mixed sweeper, Hydro Pump being powered up by Rain Dance

This team was just thought up of in a few minutes, so it might not be perfect. I'm still not sure if I'm even gonna use it, but most likely I will. Help with anything will be appreciated

1)Castform:Is absolutely Terrible.there are much better pokemon to start a rain Dance, and he's not one of them.

2)Toxicroak would be a great option here.

3)Bronzong is unique, since most teams wont expect him in a Rain Dance team. How about instead of Hidden Power, you use Hypnosis?

4)DEFINETELY TRADE HIM FOR Jolteon! He works especially well in a rain dance team

5)Use Rain Dance3.With out a doubt.It makes him a million times better

6)Not the best option here.Milotic would be much better in a rain dance team,. or Gyrados

Edit by DCM:Yes.I was an idiot and put that wrong stuff

2)Croagunk would be a great option here.

Um...you do know that Toxicroak is the evolved form of Croagunk, don't you?

3)Bronzong is unique, since most teams wont expect him in a Rain Dance team. How about instead of Hidden Power, you use Hidden Power?

That...makes no sense at all. Unless you're trying to tell him to go for a different Hidden Power element?

4)DEFINETELY TRADE HIM FOR Jolteon! He works especially well in a rain dance team

Agreed, though Rotom could do very well as a Rapid Spin blocker with the right moveset.

5)Use Rain Dance3.With out a doubt.It makes him a million times better

Again, agreed -- put Rain Dance on this guy. Castform..kinda sucks. Also, give him Swift Swim as an ability -- with base 70 Speed, this guy needs all the help he can get to be effective. Try for a Calm nature if you're looking for a supporter or staller, Modest if you want this guy to be kicking some serious ass. Either way you go, Leftovers is a pretty standard option. The moveset looks all right, but try replacing Giga Drain with Grass Knot. A lot of what Ludicolo will be going in against is heavy enough for it to be worth it.

If you wish to use castform have bronzong start and give castform ice beam instead of water pulse to complete the boosted boltbeam combo. However I would have to sadly recommend against using castform his movepool is fantastic but he needs an evo for stat boosts

Replace this. Castform is really bad, I wouldn't even use it in UU except fer the lulz. Get Kingdra or Gorebyss as a RD Special Sweeper with Damp Rock, personally I like Gorebyss because its much stronger but Kingdra doesn't die as easily, especially with its only weakness being Dragon. And it packs Draco Meteor for a powerful but once off hit.

454-3.png

Ability: Dry Skin
Nature: Adament/Lonely
Item:Focus Sash
Evs: 252 Speed, 252 attack, 4 HP or 252 Speed, 128 Attack, 124 Special Attack, 4 HP Go with the first spread
Moves:
Poison Jab
Sucker Punch
Brick Break
Swagger/ Sludge Bomb

My main physical sweeper, he also gets healed by the rain

Since he's not very bulky he won't be healing much, although it is cool tech allowing Focus Sash activation when they have Stealth Rock up. Don't use Sludge Bomb with a split spread, go with 252 ATK and in that moveslot I recommend Swords Dance or Pursuit (VERY handy for killing Gengar).

BRONZONG.png

Ability:Levitate
Item:??? Damp Rock, no question. You need 8 turns for Rain Dance to be viable, especially on a Pokemon that doesn't gain immediate advantage from it. Consider the fact that to take advantage of the Rain, you have to use it then switch, which means you only have 3 turns left without Damp Rock.
Nature: Bold
Evs: 252 HP, 252 Defense, 4 Special Attack
Moves:
Rain Dance
Stealth Rock
Psychic
Hidden Power / Flash Cannin

He sometimes will go before Castform, to set up Rain Dance and Stealth Rock.

Hidden Power what? Also, for the last move, I suggest Explosion and use a Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spe). Don't use Flash Cannon if you have Psychic for reliable STAB.

Rotom.png

Nature: Modest
Ability: Levitate
Item: ???
Evs: 252 Special Attack, 252 Speed
Moves:
Thunder
Ominous Wind
Double team
confuse ray

Yeah, replace Rotom. Especially since its illegal under Standard Rules which includes Evasion Clause, which means no Double Team. Ominous Wind is a terrible move, never use it. Jolteon would be a great replacement, or one of my favourites for Rain Dance if you want...

Lanturn @ Damp Rock
Volt Absorb/Calm
252 SpD / 168 HP / 52 SpA / 36 Spe (Keep in mind this is based on max IVs - the Spe is to break 178 and outspeed Skarmory & other Pokemon that share its base)

-Thunder
-Hydro Pump
-Ice Beam
-Rain Dance

Blocks a special move, sets up rain while they switch, or if rain is already up hits really hard with Hydro Pump and pretty hard with Thunder too.[/i]

Nature:???
Ability:???
Item: Leftovers
Evs: 252 Special Defense, 124 Special attack, 128 HP
Moves:
Leech Seed
Surf
Ice Beam/Giga Drain
Toxic

Somewhat of an annoyer, somewhat of a sweeper. I could use help with him

Go one way or the other IMO. Either make it a sweeper or an annoyer. If sweeper...

Ludicolo @ Damp Rock
Swift Swim/Modest
252 SpA / 148 HP / 108 Spe
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Leech Seed
-Rain Dance

Hits most things pretty hard with Surf, Dragons take an Ice Beam to the face. Bulky waters get Leech Seeded and usually don't have the offense to fight back thanks to a 4x Water resistance. Keep in mind a neutral Surf in Rain is stronger than a 2x SE Ice Beam.

OR

Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Rain Dish/Bold
252 HP / 208 Def / 40 SpA / 8 Spe (Not set in concrete, the EV spread is flexible. 252 HP is a given, but the rest can be spread as best works for you)
-Hydro Pump
-Leech Seed
-Substitute
-Rain Dance

This is an exception to the Damp Rock rule because it runs off its own Rain. Once this thing is going it's very hard to take down, since it heals more with RD + Seed + Leftovers than it sacrifices for Sub. If you want you can use Ice Beam instead of Hydro Pump to hit Grass types which are immune to Leech Seed.

Nature: Mild
Ability: Intimidate
Item: Life Orb
Evs: 252 Speed, 124 Special attack, 128 attack
Moves:
Hydro Pump
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Roost/Protect

A mixed sweeper, Hydro Pump being powered up by Rain Dance

Protect is a bad idea, forget it. Hydro Pump and Dragon Claw are of course givens, the other two I'm not sure about. When I think about it though, it seems like it would do fine. Also, watch for Stealth Rock since you don't have a Spinner.

This team was just thought up of in a few minutes, so it might not be perfect. I'm still not sure if I'm even gonna use it, but most likely I will. Help with anything will be appreciated

Fixes in Italics. Enjoy!
