I'm really not the best with those, given that my style of play seems to be rather...unpopular around here.

Ah, yes, indeed. I'd forgotten your rather unusual ideas about the game. Sorry, but I do have to side with WPM there. The trend thesedays *is* for lower energy, and for 2-1-2 splits, and for good reason, with it being so much easier to cycle through your deck quickly through trainers than it used to be in the old days.

*Sticks fingers in ears, hums the "Unlimited" song* :P

Unlimited is broken, broken, broken. A large number of cards are simply too gamebreaking, several simply because they were translated incorrectly from the Japanese.

Which were the mistranslations? And can't they be errataed?

(I haven't played competitively in ages, but the only broken card I know is Oak. Though I take Sneasel far less seriously than most people.)

I can't remember the specifics off the top of my head. It was a Slowbro that was the biggest problem, IIRC. Something about a Poké-Power that should only be able to be used while active, but which didn't have that qualification in the translation.

Errata would help there though I suppose. Not like Nintendo has made any errata yet though.

Uh, I think you are talking about Neo Genesis Slowking with the Mind Games Pokémon Power. In the english version it's read that whenever the opponent plays a Trainer Card, you flip a coin. On heads, that Trainer does nothing and it goes to the top of the opponent's deck. Obviously having various Slowking in play makes this power cummulative! (sp?) (3 coin flips for using a Trainer? BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN!!!). Plus there are powerful Trainer Cars in unlimted like Guts Of Wind (ugh!), Energy Removal (double ugh!), Super Energy Removal (triple ugh!) and those annoying Baby Pokémon (who came out with such stupid idea? The Baby Rule is hell!).

Modified changes for EVERYONE (no exceptions) September 1st. The date applies to the entire planet earth. The format, however, is different in some regions. US is HL-on, but Europe (or some other country) is RS-on still.
